Group loot annoying

I have 8 alts and play trials all the time. The thing I hate the most is some group members can see what everyone got from the treasure chest. Last night from nHRC, I got a infused VO dagger. This guy started sending me private message and I told him I need it. In the end for no reason, he called me **** Canadian, but the funny thing is I am an Asian living on the west coast of USA, lol.

What I am trying to say is, I get these annoying private message all the time. Maybe we should have a choice to not allow addons to see what we got. I understand that RNG is bad sometimes but hey everyone has to go through it -_-

Wrong title then. "Group a-holes annoying" would be more fitting.

so what's the problem again? u can simply ignore chat. Or create a tab, set it for whispers only, and never look in that tab.

Yes, it is annoying. I don't use Group Loot addon. I don't care to see what others get. But, what you can do to stop the P.M.s is go Offline Mode or simply put the Chap on your Ignore List. LOL.

You can remove him/her from your Ignore list later of course.

Sorry, I have pChat turned on....Some private message are important in trials, so I DO have to read them. I have many alts, so that means I have PLAYED this for a long time. Of course I know how to create new tab lol. Anyway, thank you for your response.

Agreed. This isn't an issue with loot being seen. It's an issue with entitled idiots in your group.

Yea, this is a problem with an individual more than the feature. Granted, I don't love the feature, and don't use add-ons to show me loot from my team mates. But if someone does and they ask for something, I don't care, as long as they don't care if I say no.

Personally, I just tell the group if I'm looking for a piece and let them check and tell me. But there have been players that say they don't pay attention to that stuff and would rather someone just look at see what they got and message them b/c it's less work for them to go through everyone's diff messages seeing who needs what.

This seems to be another case to running with random groups. If you run with a good active guild then idiots like that would be kicked out pretty quick.

Think about it for a moment and it begins to make sense. People who ack like idiots are required to run with ransoms because guild scans their stupidity.

Whenever i do a Tiral i put myself in offline mode until we finish, i put what i don't need in the chat and i get online again, the first one who whispers takes it.

Hint if you want hard to get meta sets and the one get it will not share he need it himself. If you PM offer to buy at an high price.
If you want some rarely used set ask in chat first, many will not bother listing them.

You have a choice to disable private messages (change your status to offline).
I think that it's not addon's fault if some people are being entitled and annoying. Addon is just a tool, and like any other tool, it can be used by rude people. They are the problem.

Idk why you guys on NA have this issue. It virtually never happens on EU as far as I know at least I or my friends haven't encountered that.

Thats some serious salt either.. Like a kid getting upset because another kid got a toy they wanted then throw a tantrum...so childish.

I agree. Maybe because I was running a socr, so they thought I don't need the VO dagger. I guess many people do not have alts...

You got a point there. Addons are suppose to help us. Again, I do not disable pm because sometimes the leader of the trial will message me here and there about mechanics or what I am doing wrong, so disabling private message to me is not an option.

Possible or maybe they're just fed up and need a break from the game. Still that doesn't excuse how they acted though pretty stupid tbh. If I had someone like that in my raid i'd throw them out immediately. Ain't got time for that.

    pretty much this lol

Another thing that bothers me with the loot stuff is people selling stuff for like 100k at the end of the raid like....played since beta and not once have I ever accepted gold for a gear trade and I never will. Just give people what they need and let them be happy. I even go as far as to tell people to not sell gear at the end of a raid because I honestly think its scummy because for a lot of people plenty dont have 100k to spare nor do they have that kind of time to play to farm those raids.
