The most elusive fish ?

i have been doing some of the fishing achievements in various places and its always been ok for the rate it takes to catch all the fish until now i have come across a fish that i simply cannot catch which is "Pikeblenny" (Saltwater) in deshaan ,I have used upwards of over 1200 bait (worms/chub)and almost a week fishing and have caught all the other saltwater fish multiple times but can never hook the Pikeblenny!
Is this nothing compared to some peoples progress with fishing and things have been a lot worse for some people or is this a one off unlucky time i am having catching this damn elusive fish ?

Kowtow at the fishing hole before casting. That usually works for me.

The Midget Salmon in Alik'r is a bad memory.

As is one of the blue fish in Malabal Tor, but I don't remember which water type that was (foul, I think).

My last fish was one of the blue saltwater fish in Cyrodiil. Luckily for me it only took about 5 minutes!

My character is permanently carrying the blue Viperfish ( the last one he needed for the title). After a few years, it’s probably smelling pretty bad by now.

I almost always get the Pikeblenny in the fishing hole by the bridge to the right of the Eidolan Hollow wayshrine. My last Master Angler took a while to catch it but finally did. Give it a rest for a day and go back and try again. Good luck!

For me it was the Cichlid in Hew's Bane. Took weeks of me fishing out the lake holes and returning the next day to fish them out again and again. The Heinous Gar in Coldharbour is a close second that was the last one I needed for Master Angler and I caught all the other blue fish several times over before I got that one which made it more frustrating knowing I needed the one fish and I was done and wasnt getting it

The blue river fish in Greenshade took about a week to catch. Surprisingly the last one for the achievement was pretty painless.

I don't remember the zone but a foul water fish gave me fits on my first master angler. There were only three or four foul holes and two of them you had to hide from a world boss while fishing.

The ones that are a real pain come from zones with only one water type. Catching the wrong blue fish time after time gets old really quick.

There was a GREEN one in Auridon that just wouldn't drop for me, I was getting multiple blues, but I was at it for what felt like weeks. It's what made me rage quit fishing! I'm back at it now though, got to get that title

I had such a hard time catching the pikeblenny too! I caught upward of 1000 fish before I got it

Coldharbor is probably the hardest zone as you need 12 fish from fool water. Remember spending plenty of time here however I assumed it would take even longer so probably got lucky.

Its many zones with just a few spots with fool water, my advice is to focus on the rare spots and only do others then they are empty, this way you don't have to wait around until they restock.
And you have Cyrodil with just a few salt water spots and all deep inside the AD area, nice if you are AD but not so much for the others. Only benefit is that its nothing to do in that area outside of fishing and most will leave other anglers alone.

Dab in Stormhaven was a pain to get, still bugged after all these years. Same with that Viperfish in Greenshade, elusive one and not that many foul spots.

Last one for Master Angler took some time as well, the blue lake one
