Any other games lag as bad as ESO ?
Archeage.
Hope ZoS don't plan to end like AA..

FF14 performs brilliantly on both, PC and PS4. And yes, it has cross-play so no worries if your friends play on the other platform. But you'll be disappointed coming from ESO. There are no loot boxes in FF.

Cant play for love nor money today, cant swap bar, can't doge, getting CC'd 3 times in a row, hammering the same skil 20 times and it still wont fire.
Its so bad and, now i've logged out cuz' its done my head in.
Anyone know of any other games / "premium games" that Lag like this? i mean, this is seriously detrimental to the health of the game and i've never seen anything like it,
Is this an acceptable standard ?
If i didn't have so many achievements and rl money invested into this server i would move to NA.
I've been playing MMO's since Ultima Online. ZOS is the most amateurish and inept dev I've seen. But they still succeed and make bank because a) they have the huge ES name behind them and b) there is almost zero competition (oh, and C) they have become less and less an MMO and more an exercise in monetization - whale hunting). If they didn't have the ES name behind them they would have died. If there were competing against other new, big IP and competently run MMOs they would have been creamed. And if they weren't milking whales like crazy they wouldn't be making so much undeserved cash.
I think those sorts of points are always over-stated. The main reason the game does so well is because most players don't experience the level of problems that get highlighted on this forum, whether it's performance, balancing, skill changes, or failure to get answers to 15 tickets on the same issue etc., most players just enjoy the game and have few significant issues with it. While the players who do have these issues have genuine problems for the most part, they aren't representative of the playerbase as a whole.

Yeah, LOTRO and SWTOR lagged just as bad (even worse).
WoW is really the only game I can remember playing that could handle large scale PvP without significant lag. Which is ironic considering it's one of the oldest games out there.
It is extremely annoying when lag hits you while you're getting "CC'D". Being unable to move on this game is basically an instant death sentence.
This is typically what happens though when a game opens a cash shop and the corporate overlords take over. The priority is no longer to provide the smoothest game experience possible but to make as much profit as possible. Upgrades to their servers are weighed against costs. And considering they probably make most of their money selling reskinned mounts and cute pets sever performance is likely no longer at the top of their priority list.

Funny then how all 400+ people in my PvP guild experience every one of the issues OP describes. Maybe its just some crazy statistical anomaly that "most" players don't have these problems but all of us that do managed to join the same PvP guild?

Not odd at all, most players don't focus on PvP, ergo most players don't experience the same level of performance issues that are in the main reported about Cyrodiil.
