Personalities Ideas

Id like to see some more personalities - maybe we can compile some ideas? Maybe some that incorporate existing emotes so zenimax has less work...

Ideas from me (Idea + possible emotes)

Gladiator
- Admire me
- Line in the Sand
- Muscle flexing
- I see you

Mercenary
- Standing cross armed looking grim
- counting gold
- sharpen / looking at a sword

Vampire
- Hissing at someone
- turning away covering ones face with a cape
- dispersing into a swarm of bats

(Warrior) Monk
- Standing on one leg with the hands pressed together
- floating in air like sota sil
- doing some kata or bowing


An alternative idea is to give us the option to create our own personalities for example by choosing 3-4 emotes that are then played automatically in a loop in some time intervalls...you could even name or share them with others...

I want more positive personalities, like "drunk" and "jester". Maybe Sheo's personality

Instead of personalities I really want different stances. For examples:

- GS stance where idle you hold it down to your side instead of straight up and down, walking/running runs with it to your side as well like your going to swing right into an uppercut from the start
- GS stance where idle you hold your weapon behind your shoulder
- Dual wield where you hold one weapon in front of you and the other behind. Same when you run but go into an assassin type run

Just a few ideas or make those animations part of a personality

I would like to see them cover things like apathetic, vain, curious, focused, bored, excited, etc.

The only thing I ask is that the personalities should be more subtle. Some of them are a bit too exaggerated IMO.

Khajiit clichee pesonality - with extra catlike behavoir, for those who want to express their inner feline nature extra strongly.

Nervous personality - always looking around, twitchy, wringing hands, fearful, etc. More frightened then the purposeful thief personality.

Feral personality - and I don't mean Khajiit, that's above, I mean wildman, enkidu, tarzan, mougli, neanderthals, the librarian at the unseen library (though he does not really count on account of... having become an ape), etc. For those so one with nature they half forgot how to be civilized.

Injured personality - "painfully holding your wounds" stance, limping walk, occasional bleeding... useful for roleplayers.

Zombie personality - why only go for polymorphs and not walk the (shambling) walk as well?

Showman personality - grand gestures, flourishes and other stuff that may be more at home on a stage or in a circus then in a dungeon... think "Gilderoy Lockheart"...

Hunter/Tracker personality - always checking the ground for tracks when standing idle, sniffing that broken branch they just picked off the next bush, half-sneaking walk as to not spook the prey, stuff like that for those who are on the "ranger" trip...

Madman personality - for those who looked too deep into Sheogoraths cheese cabinet, and found his cheese collection looking back at them...

Elder personality - for those who want to show off their extra wisdom with bent back and shaking knees. Occasional plumbing malfunctions not included, thank the divines!

Saint personality - floating instead of walking, mystic gestures and occasional ritual blessins dispensed, etc. Possibly including halo.

Monk personality - walking with bowed head, pious stances, quiet prayer ("Pie Iesu domine, dona eis requiem"? No, wait... different world... ), etc. Can be refitted to a lot of robed brethren all around tamriel...

Watchman personality - threatening stances with arms crossed, suspiscious glances looking for criminal scum and stolen sweetrolls to confiscate, occasional polishing of an (possibly expired) city guard badge... no leaning against magic shields in mid-air though, that is true city guards priviledge!

Strongman personality - body builder poses, showing off your biceps to all the world, and those deltoids, and those pecs... may or may not include a "Do you even lift, bro?" battlecry or attempts to rip off your chest armor... (and then count the days until someone figures it out, makes an earthen heart DK for it, named "Alex Louis Armstrong" )

Less cartoonish personality for a change? More like small alterations of the idle animation to make your character look more alive?

Bard. I don't need music, but I want to be able to run after people aggressively playing my lute. And smash said lute over someone's head.

But I do agree with the pious/nun/monk. I've begrudgingly turned off Custom Idle Animation on most of my characters.... But I'm too much of a filthy RPer to take away the constant /praying from my healer. She needs it.

Moor cool stuff for our characters. Not costumes or anime mounts. We don't need costumes with the outfit system.

They probably have a bunch already ready but not released, like the idles for the bankers and what not.
Just release them already ZOS!

For example, the simple idle for the Vivec banker Dayna would be nice. It's much more toned down than the Cheerful Personality that kinda makes you look clownish.

The archcannon from morrowwind is like that so it wouldnt be hard to do.

I first want the removed ones to come back even if only for a bit

Those are GOOD. I'd also like a stance where you can stabd with your 2H sword point down in the ground in front of you, with your hands resting on the pommel. Like a boss.

Assassin personality (Not the attempt-to-be-sexy pose nonsense, a real assassin personality, more like assassins creed walking/standing animations)

Shy personality (A NPC from DB is using this)

Make beast personality always have the feral run please!

REAL Emo Personality:

• All music on instruments replaced with Morrisey, Death Cab for Cutey, and This Mortal Coil
• All dance emotes replaced with half-hearted pogo-ing, random twitching, and pensive stares
• All other emotes replaced with \lament

Ozzy Ozborne Personality:

• New emote: \snortants
• All yells/screams in battles replaced with "I...I...I....SHARON!"
• New emote: \eatbathead
• Run animation become dottering old rocker steps

Amanda Effing Palmer Personality:

• New emote: \crowdsource
• New momento: Coin Operated Boy
• New emote: \playukulele
• New emote: \hughater
