New mount ideas?

Can we please get some cooler looking mounts like this? Dragon or not, I just want to see some more effort put into mounts. Please. After playing WoW for 5 years and switching to this. I just find the mounts lacking.

49/50 mounts are Crown Store exclusive. The only mounts you can earn in game are Indriks and some hard mode trial mounts. The overwhelming majority of mounts is put into gambling crates. As long as they don’t change this practice they can keep their mounts.

I’ve never met a game, not even Asian P2W grinders, where mounts you can earn in game are so limited as it is the case in ESO.

"Some" hard mode mounts. Just the one atm. But yeah. They have that, they need lots more. I love in-game mounts. Every time I bring this up people say, "ThEy gOtTa mAkE MoNeY SoMeHoW" But really better looking mounts and easier access would be amazing. They can still sell weapons and costumes in the store. Along with bag upgrades and the cash grab gamble crates. I don't mind. But mounts are my jam.

The mount design has already been WoW-ified.

We used to have normal mounts. Then someone lit them on fire. Others have lightning shooting out their eyes. They disappear in puffs of magic, and appear with a burst of flame.

They know they are attracting the WoW refugees, and are fully catering to them with Sparkle Ponies.

I guess my idea would be one (or both) of the following:

• A new type of mount you have to earn in-game, but has different outfits or recolors available in the crown store, or...
• Items obtainable in-game that can be applied to existing crown store mounts

Either way ZOS is able to monetize it, but it's at least partially merit-based.

WoW is over the top cartoonish with its grafics, ESO started out as more realistic... but... got a little less so nowadays as the developers sell more "visual goodies". Yes, like glowy, sparkly, magical mounts.
That's just how it goes.

And we will certainly get a lot more mounts as time goes by... some will be overly cool... (and hiding in crowm crates as apex rewards, no doubt), others will be less nifty yet normal crown store purchases, and some may be like the indrik, able to get gamed for.

But... I really doubt Dragons will ever be among them. Or anything more flashy then what we already have seen.

If we're lucky though, they might someday add a "mount outfit system" to the stables, and then let us buy tacky saddles and special mount armor plates and all that... think of how much they can sell us there, racial style saddles, and undauinted monster mount armor, and mount aura effects... and... and...?
It might come, someday. Or not, depending on what they choose to do...

More mounts in game = more gold sink. even if it re-skins like the 3 mounts that you can currently buy.

The rarer a mount is, the more stylized it is to look impressive and that's the way it is with skins as well.
The one complaint about rarity is that individuality goes out the window, when players customize their outfits around them.

Here is a mount that I would definitly like to see (and purchase) in TESO as well (but then in its own style). The manabike from Allods Online (one of my favorite mounts that I owned there). You can restyle it in dwemer style or something. Or make a different sort of hover bike.

The manabike can also hover on water. So maybe you can add that as well with the mount!

Zos is crapping out mounts just to have something new in the crown store. I'd rather see them chill out and drop a new special mount that actually means something.

To the adverage player the new mount that comes from vSS won't even be recognized. That's what's sad. So many flashy mounts on the market that the hardest end game achievable mount can't even be flexed to half the community because half the community will just think it came from the crown store..

A wood elf mount would be cool. Cheap too. I could just feed it fellow wood elves that I killed.

Well, personally I would like to see a mount-that-is-not-mount, something like a "maraphon run mode". Maybe a bit changed normal run animation, but with a movement speed increased as normal for using a mount.

No the one that (VSS) looks most like (CROWN STORE) actually looks better then achievement mount imo 😆 😆 😆
So its not that they couldn't add more achievement mounts its that they'd have to make better crown store mounts to fund the other being free

It’s a difficult balance. I don’t want huge numbers of different kinds of mounts, I find the dwarves ones really disconcerting for instance, but I do want a bit more imagination.

The Castle Greyskull expansion pre-order is a good example of what’s wrong. It’s yet another lazy, boring horsey reskin. Even the artwork for it looks dull, so I can’t imagine how awful it will look in game. I already ‘know’ that the ‘special’ edition of the next dungeon DLC will include another lazy horsey reskin etc etc.

My characters would all benefit from mounts that match their style. I don’t mind paying a little for that. But I’m not buying gamble crates where I don’t know what I’m getting, or f-ing around with yet another cryptocurrency that’s derived from them to prevent you realising that each mount costs you hundreds of dollars.

The aggressive loot store is one of the main reasons I don't play ESO as my "main" MMO. I'm perfectly fine with cosmetics being in the store, but MOST cosmetics should be earned in game.

I love the pets and mounts. I just wish we could have some more interaction with them. Like petting and giving them a treat. Changing their bridle and saddle colar etc.

Also if we run into an enemie/ danger if the pets could react in their body language and start growling.

It would make it for me a bit more fun and dynamic.
