Today I received three letters with golden items/motifs...

... from PvP NPCs.

I never achieved this before maybe because I wasn’t active enough in PvP but today after the maintenance I just received those three letters. I just played a new character, made almost 9 Alliance ranks by playing more than 50 battlegrounds within a week - has it something to do with that? Or what’s the reason I got those golden items?

Most likely you found yourself in the top 100 leaderboard for one or more of the 3 BG types. Top hundred players in each category get a gold reward mailed to them. If you're in more than one category you get multiple.

Low level battlegrounds are thoroughly enjoyable (unless you’re fighting premades).

Agreed at least in under 50 players aren't unkillable machines of destruction. Maybe thats the answer to all pvp nerfs scale us all down to under 50 in stats and power for a less one shot insta kill gameplay
