Protective: Reduced this item trait to 1190 Physical and Spell Resistance at CP160 Legendary quality from 1844, to ensure its strength is similar to other jewelry traits.

So can I have my transmute cristals back please? Because from my 12 pvp characters il use it on 8 characters 3x.....

Gold and transmute at own risk. We learned that the hard way. Any effort to improve equipment will never be set in stone.

If you look at the way of martial knowledge set it is a decent overland magic set for magics types. not the best but it works well with Julianos and is easy for new players to get. That set is being bastardized for some stamina crap.

Ebon is being stat reduced. Plague doctor is stat reduced.

Never gold anything in this game and transmuting in a game that reinvents it's wheels every few months is frustrating. Possibly to keep us busy.

In your case with the protective trait now cp will have to be invested into spell resist and physical resist on the trees for whichever armor you are 5 piecing.

To have fun in this game you must have the ability to not care about the min max, the minutiae, or the company that makes the game. Use it for your own pleasure and care not for those soulless few that scheme for the dollar.Remember we are consumers not owners please do not get emotionally invested in this or any other game.

I feels you on the PVP This has been one of the most vocal and patient PVP communities I have seen in video games. Even more strident than funcoms aoc band of nerfherders.

The soundest advice that I can offer:

    1. Is never go past purple on any thing for refinement.

    2. Never rely on equipment or trait stats as they will change at a future point in time.

    3. Never 4 doest not shall count past the 4 with the holy handgrenade in hand

    5. Be a realist and do not ride the negative hate zos train.

    6. Never rely on a single skill or even entire skill lines as they can be altered at whim for any zos reason

    7. Have fun and laugh do not take this game serious

    8. Get a couple of puppies they will show you more about being a better gamer than any thing else on the planet.

    9. Find a guild that does activities for fun like naked skyshard farming,Naked delve and dungeon raids. Level 1 gear runs
break the monotony that the sparse content provides. And the content is sparse and of limited variety some dungeons poot all dungeons remind me of Vindictus. If the tileset isn't familiar, then the mobs certainly are.

    10. Even with the housing do not get set on dimensions or ideas; housing changes as well (Earthtear Cavern). The housing areas are vast but some like myself do not feel the same type of ownership like in other games from the same company. You can't sleep on the bed, eat the food off the table, put edible food in baskets for others to eat, draconian storage my GM has storage maxed out and all of the storage containers purchaseable on the crown store full of useless golded sets he cannot bear to decon.

Poor guy is suffering from sunk cost fallacy a true state of entropy; can't bet, can't call, and, can't fold.Lucky for him he has me the Master of Fun activities. I can find many fun things to do. I like to create events for guild that do not cost money and are fun. Like Drunk Discord night. No bans allowed on that night but everyone must drink in the main channel the teatotaler channel is one click down. And it is those fun things keeping him here and enjoying the game after 5 long years of chasing at windmills and movable goal posts.

No real ideas for content ever make it past the forums here or the filters of the moneychangers at zenimax headquarters. Things like finding a random portal and opening it to be sucked into a dungeon that requires wits and lockpicking skills and puzzles to escape.

Realize that the game has the breadth of an ocean but the depth of an oil sheen. And play it for what it offers and accept it for what it is. It cannot change and will not change. No more than a Khajiit can change its proclivities for skooma.

will edit to add more after my five Guinness lunch kicks in.

I like GW2 I last played when the lady dev went off on some people. Great game and very in depth crafting I have food armor, artificing, jewelry and weapon lines maxed out. Was working on crafting some legendary stuff when NCsoft dropped the bomb.

Never drink the bobblehead potion in pvp. DONT DO IT. btw we need that potion here.

I might be out on this one. I'm so frustrated taking a pvp nerf on my solo pve builds that cost so many crystals. Now I'm supposed to transmute back?

The few brief times pvp worked for me, I had fun, but the performance makes it an unfun game 95% of the time. So I simply don't pvp at all. It just plain doesn't exists as a fun activity on my computer, just like most eso players.

Look at the population in the cyrodil campaigns. We can all see how few people are doing it. It's just that they are all here being loud, so in come the nerfs.

To be clear, I know most of the nerfs are full game nerfs. But this one is only for the part of the game that is technically performing so poorly that the can't fill campaigns.

No you can't have my stuff. But my guild leaders might have half a million gold headed their way. Idk about this game anymore.

    Ya agree.

Made millions selling all my gold plating , while wearing purple jewelry on most of my toons. A few extra stat points that cost hundreds of thousands make no sense to me ...

Weapons gold for sure, and certain monster sets , thats it.

    @Donny_Vito

and to others of great esteem as he

If you look at gaming and us as gamers in general we tend to be the hardest on ourselves. Then we are hard on the game if it limits us in any way. And finally hard on the Creators and fellow players
We are given a choice system

    1. Improve gear at X cost with X time and X risk to receive X reward with X benefit. Then it gets modified. And we after having risen to the challenge are perturbed by the take backs from the devs. This leads us into number two

    2. The devs removing the efforts of number one above. Number one can also involve investments in gear, skills and player progression. Much like the PVP AP reductions for Ava and PVP skill lines. Many felt slighted for having sunk all of that time in the madness of pre 1.6 to see others be handed what they grinded so hard for.

    3. It matters not the nature of the game so much as the nature of ourselves.Being competitive can take us away from the fun. Competitive gaming in any single game will lead to burn out eventually all gaming will lead to a burn out of the competitive nature. This is the evolution and it is natural. For it is at that point where you begin to find the fun in gaming again. Yes puppies help so does music classes even if you totally suck at it try it. Your mind will get lost in the chords and you will actually relax completely and not go to sleep with builds on your mind.

One of my guildmates suggested the music thing back to me in BnS when I was going for World 100 in the Soul Fighter class. After that I said no more I couldn't take the crap that I was dealing with both from the NC folks and from the IP provider with the jitters killing my time scores. I knew I needed to step back and refocus on what was important and it was not the game and it was not getting ahead of other players it was not spending hours tweeking a soul shield specific to phases of a fight.

This game is no different if you<<<YOU<<< let yourself spend hours on gear stats and perfecting your builds you are losing time when you could just be playing and having fun. After three big iterations in the last 2 years we should all see that doing so in a data driven balance game is an exercise in futility. It is not if it will change but WHEN it will change. So as a player you have to ask yourself this subset below

    A. I am competitive: the game changes, the stats and skills change, and, to remain competitive I must work 3 builds ahead of zos ,and, not publish or brag about my builds. My builds are my weapons of dominance in this game, and, i will dominate everyone either with great gear or with great skills. This is going to be time consuming and expensive and, I am okay with that. I know that my actions will derive and deliver such data to ZOS who will make changes according to my dominance.

    B. I am here for fun: to unwind and be a truly multitasking gamer. Whilst playing I am simultaneously defending my feet from ankle biters and also defending my Guinness from the cat.I care not for the ping nor the bling. This is long term gaming. Some may call this being casual maybe but look at this in its totality( I am also surfing with the Ipad for another beer of the month and cigar club)

I have been gaming since 1976 first in the Arcades(PVP out back sometimes for money; sometimes for grudges) then on ye old Altair 8080 on up to now. The spectrum of gaming each gamer takes is the same. You stay as competitive as long as you can and then you decide from there( This is our inherent nature). No game is 100% percent stable in its life cycle sure ZOS has a rather tumultuous product with a severe identity and balance crisis. And with that comes the Caveat Emptor, and, the knowledge that that game is driven on change and we all must be prudent on gear specialization and refinement.

    Be well and happy gaming!

Preach...so true. And yes, I also believe that competitive gaming does lead to a higher burn out rate. I do find enjoyment in joining these Vet progression teams, but I often have to take a break from them as I see myself losing that interest that brought me to the game in the first place.

Love how everyone is just ignoring non-CP, where we don't have the luxury of using CP to make up the difference in lost mitigation. Go defensive 5-piece set or go home.

Also love how everyone is focusing so hard on the tank meta, that nobody is bothering to ask why we're in one to begin with, including ZOS. Maybe because people don't like dying in 2-3 seconds with no opportunities to counter, and with no indication of what went wrong or what they could have done better? Maybe?

Exactly, no one wants a fight to be over before it starts... if they do they should go play FPS. The reason people play tanky is because damage is too high and if you don't build for defense whoever attacks first wins.

Damage isn't too high unless you build for it, and on that case you won't be tanky. It's a balancing act of trade-offs.if you're a slow reaction person or have high latency(or both like me), having a tanky build may help with having a fighting chance. If you're faster, with better connection, then maybe having a high damage output can actually be better defense. You can't die if there's no one alive to kill you.

Those that do a lot of damage, again, are doing so making themselves vulnerable. If you choose to exploit their weakness or reduce your own weaknesses, that's the concept of min-maxing, applied to PvP.

Lol. Yeah we are right there with you. But it it’s a vidya game and not the end of the world.

Personally I never make anything beyond purple gear, except weapons, weapons I gold. I know the min/max community will frown, but in most content you don’t even need to go beyond purple, in fact my first clear of VMA was my gear was all blue with the exception of my weapons. On the PvP side I never hold anything out except weapons. Those small bonuses aren’t enough to make or break a character. Squeezing just a little bit more out isn’t going to change the fact good players will still be good and bad players refuse to learn the game.
