Maintenance prevents getting tickets on last day of TG & DB celebration event?

Event article says:

The Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Celebration Event returns this Tuesday, July 2, at 10:00AM EDT and runs until Monday, July 15, at 10:00AM EDT.

Maintenance banner says:

PC/Mac: NA and EU megaservers for patch maintenance – July 15, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC)

Players that need those last two tickets will have 2 hour window (from 2:00AM EDT to 4:00AM EDT) to get them.

Edit: Server reset time.

Well, I'm from EU and I work tomorrow so I wasn't planning to get them anyway. xD

Well, that is a bummer...
I work (EU server) and I am back home just 1h before the event ends. I even placed my alts with proper quests done near quest giver NPC just to pick up the rewards (event tickets) as fast as possible.
But now I see that I wont be able to even log in to the game because of a maintenance...

Any word on that @ZOS_GinaBruno ?
Can maintenance be moved to next day ? Or maybe event extended by 1 day ?
Or is there anything that could be done ?

A maintenance patch is what they use to pull the event from the servers.

The event may run until 10AM EDT, but in strict lawyer-ese, they never said you could play it until 10AM EDT.

If you wanted to play it until 10AM, they'd run the maintenance from 10AM EDT to 4PM EDT.

My EU account has been completely stuck for over 4 months now and it's fourth event tickets I'm missing, I bet there has been quite many missed tickets during those events and it's not any problem or issue at all so I'm laughing at few missed tickets, ESO is all about making forced sacrifices.

Not really, as most (if not all, honestly) previous maintenances on the last day of an event (see I'm not saying all maintenance ever, but the ones on last days of events), went always until 8:00AM EDT.

On events, if maintenance on the last day, I have been always logging in after 8:00AM EDT to get the tickets/event items.

I've seen similar in other MMOs as well. Along with the requisite "but I couldn't get my _____ on the last day!" posts.

Ye.. I was gonna to say that. I remember, that in the previous events, I was able to login, even last day and maintenance was not a problem, since I had like at least 1h of event left.

@Dragonnord, the ticket reset is at 1:00am (EDT). Not 3:00am.

On the back end, there’s no guarantee how long maintenance will be. So, we don’t know. They won’t be adding a full event day due to a few hours of maintenance ... there’s prior precedent for that.

Its always been like this..if possible just stay logged on when the dailies flip (1:00 AM EST) and do it then...

After you get today's tickets, do those two quests on a different character but don't turn them in. That way you can just spend two minutes at 0001 EST and get your tickets.

Are you sure the switch is at 1 AM EDT? I mean, I know that's what the announcement claimed, but the first day of the event I got my first day's tickets, then went back at 1 AM EDT to get my next day's tickets, but the quest givers wouldn't give me a new quest until 2 AM EDT. So unless you're supposed to use a different character to get your tickets at 1 AM EDT tonight, the switch is effectively at 2 AM EDT, not 1 AM EDT. Having only two hours to get your last 2 tickets of the event stinks like guar dung, but it's doable. The thing is, it has NOT always been like this, because I remember that there was at least one event-- I think it might have been the Morrowind event-- when maintenance was delayed that week until Tuesday morning.

I'm central time, so it turns over at 1am for me during daylight savings. People on mountain time are so lucky; I detest the twice a year jet lag I experience from the time changes.

Yeah Im not a fan of maintenance during a timed event, let a lone the last couple of hours that someone might be trying to squeeze those last two tickets out of. I'll be up at 1 am myself otherwise Ill miss my shot at the last two tickets.

Please note that the DAILIES reset at 2am (EDT) ... which is different than the ticket reset.

If you have time to do the dailies on an Alt now it would be advisable to complete it. That way, all you have to do is turn in after 1am (EDT) when the tickets reset.

Im not running an Alt through both storylines to unlock dailies just to turn it in at 1 am. Ill just wait til its reset for this character and run them back through.

The only problem for me-- and, I imagine, for at least a few other people-- with doing the quests on an alt, is that I haven't got any alts who've started the TG and DB questlines yet, so it's quicker to just wait until the dailies reset and then do them in a hurry. That shouldn't be a problem for me, but it might be for other players.

In any case, it doesn't make a lot of sense why the tickets roll over at one time (1AM EDT) yet the dailies roll over at another time (2AM EDT), since you get the tickets from doing the dailies.

Also, Daylight-Saving Time is in the spring, and Standard Time resumes in the fall, not the other way around-- not that that has any bearing on this discussion; I'm just setting the record straight because it can be so darned confusing. "Spring ahead; fall back." Move the clocks ahead 1 hour in the spring for DST, and then move them back 1 hour in the fall for ST. We owe a huge debt of gratitude (in case you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic) to Benjamin Franklin for proposing the idea of Daylight-Saving Time.

I have logged today early at 1 am EDT (7 AM) for me. I had 2 characters placed, one in the thives guild & one in the dark brotherhood. Both characters had quests done, ready to receive reward. I did not received event tickets, but what I also noticed is that I only received 1 reward conteiner, instead of 2.

So aperently, the event is already over, since the 2x rewards are not account bound or "once" per day.

ok to confirm my own experience just now. i did the daily after reset - got 2 bags AND a ticket. so... the timer is ticking, those who are crazy enough like me to stay up and do this thing.

Receiving tickets as well. But I think this will be the last time I stay up so late for an event that has not been enjoyable at all. They really need to rethink the way they time these events. Dailies resetting at a different time as tickets and the event itself starting and ending at several hours from that. This whole thing is a mess.

I also just finished the daily heist and sacrament, and got double rewards and two tickets. Event is still ongoing on xbox.

Judging from the comments here...
NA - ppl had to stay late at night 2 - 3 am to get event tickets.
EU - they have no way of getting those 2 tickets, unless they are unemployed...

Honestly in the state this game is I don't care if the maintenance takes one day out of the event if its to give it a much needed fix. Then again I do find it odd how even F2P Mobile games give people rewards for maintenance times and this game has a population of subscribers and crown buyers I cant even recall one single stack of daedra husks. No its not entitlement its called customer service. Come on ZOS at least throw in some Crown Chicken.

The "next day" starts at 1 am CST (where I live ) which is 2 am EST. That should leave a 2 hour window.
