Why can some items not be sold?

I have a collar of bones. When I go to sell it, I get "that item cannot be sold". Any ideas on why not?

Some of the items you get for completing tutorial quests can't be sold.

Also most 'white' items you get in those sections have 0 gold value .. both restrictions are mainly there to prevent abuse by gold sellers presumably .. however you can 'sell' them to a vendor which is the quickest way to get rid of them if you don't want to disenchant them.

I got the error message when I was selling to a vendor.

But, as per Naomi_K's comment, they might have been from the tutorial.

If there's ''Bound'' on the up right on a item description then it can't be sold to other players, and if the item giving by the game to you, not quest, not mission but something like a leveling reward almost all the time it can't be sold to anyone even NPCs
