Infinite Volendrung bug?

Earlier today volendrung spawned for EP, and we had volendrung for 4+ hours straight without it despawning, only way we were able to get rid of it was by throwing it in the water after hours of back and fourth battles. Anyone else in any other campaigns experienced the same thing?

    I saw EP have it for 2 and 1/2 hours about 3 weeks ago.

    Its not a bug. It will disappear only after person dies/disconnects. So, technically, you can have it all day by farming pugs and tsking keeps

    Volendrung can apparently be held while mounted/Keep Recalling (via Keep Recall Stone) across the map, and with group healing the Health loss can be endlessly cancelled out: thus as long as you earn AP from kills/taking keeps over and over the only way to lose the hammer is via death by combat.

    Pretty sad, I've yet to see it be used as something other than a zerg-tool. It only ever seems to spawn behind Alliance Gates too so certain groups are just camping the gates at spawn time then dogpiling the carrier as they leave the gate to secure it for their wave across the map.

    Keep Recall really shouldn't work while holding it, I'd argue even mounting is a stretch because being that mobile means you reach AP sources faster than the health loss builds up...

    Don't worry, ZOS will fix it by nerfing the players that have to fight against it instead... :D

    Not true, it has a timer one of my friends had it removed from him after we had it for a couple of hours. He didn’t die and there was no message that it returned back to oblivion.
