There is rediculus amount of sets in game, but you keep creating new sets. The game just become digging through piles of c...p pos. Keep it up "good job" bring more set.

I asked about them adding new sets during a round table and they seemed pretty happy and keen to keep adding them as they said they had a lot of ideas.

It does kind of feel like only trails sets are worth a damn in PvE though so most sets never get any love.

Also the proc sets and damage sets always perform better than interesting 5th bonus ones.

Yes. I do not see an end to new sets being added and I really do not see an issue with how many sets are in the game. Some like to focus on sets they do not think are worth using but I focus more on what may be good to use.

I do think the proc sets performing as well as they do are an issue in both PvE and PvP. In PvE they permit players to do decent damage without learning how to play the game well so it is a crutch that holds some players back. In PvP it permits some tanky builds to do decent damage which means the tanky builds are not trading as much for their survival.

I am not playing any more... I am spending hours just digging through those usless piles of s.. items. So more sets for me = crappier game. I am playing the game since beta test. There a lot of interesting things to play with but adding more sets it just does not make any sence to me. I am okay if they just compleatly change existing sets or add more motifs or whatever cosmetic things. No, sireously just frkn piles, endless piles of usless sht...

What they need to have is fewer ideas, but some of them actually be good.

Throwing in 15 new sets each expac, but only 3 of them being any good is not good for the game, and it doesn't give players much confidence in the ability of the Devs to understand the game, and deliver what is needed.

Each expac really only needs a handful of sets.
Trials level set each for Tank, Healer, DPS.
Overland set each for Tank, Healer, DPS.

Let them bed in, see what impact they have synergising with existing sets, see what that does to meta and then - most importantly - understand what that means needs to happen with the next expac.

It seems to be the common held belief that ZOS are in the process, with new staff (last time I played Mr Wrobel was still in charge of combat), of rebalancing combat.

Hopefully so that there isn't just one build per class that is the cookie-cutter, must-have, meta.

But changing too many variables at once, and - just as importantly - changing variables too often means it is almost impossible to understand what impact those changes have, so no understanding of what needs to be done going forward, or how to do it.

Let's be honest, that has been clear right through the development cycle of this game since launch.
It is, arguably, the most commonly and most persistently voiced concern about how development is going.

I hope the new staff can bring about a more balanced gameplay experience; but unless there's a change of development ethos to go along with that change of staff the chances are, overwhelmingly, that they won't.

I'm guessing no one here, who cares enough to post on the forums, wants that.

Add more stash for more sets. Problem solved
  • andrylapb14_ESO
    I have following preposition.
ESO has beautiful crafting system. Like example: add 1 more level to craft pedge sets, and 2 more levels to craft trial sets to the crafting system. Than insted of dropping whole item from trial/pledge boss make some sort of resource (example: yokudan/ophidian/whatewer armor pice, weapon pice or jewelry pice) than you can go and craft item you need, select style and so on, so instead having piles of items you would have resources. Plus crafting system would be even better...

Every once in a while I get tired of holding all the gear that I "may use some day" and I just decon all but a few sets. If I really need it in the future, I can always go farm.

They should make crafted sets, overworld, PVP, Monster Shoulders and vMA weapons as collectibles account wide. It costs undaunted keys to add them to your collections though. Crafted sets however, get added when you complete a Master Writ.

Dungeon / Trial / Monster Helms need to be farmed.

Pretty much any item that is not found in an instance requiring multiple people.

That way, as the sea of items come into the game, with every DLC (3 overworld, 3 crafted sets, 4 trial / 3 dungeon / or group arena weapons) you at least know that 6 of those sets won't be clogging up inventory.

They could even lock access behind quest lines. Meaning instead of a quest reward being a unique overworld set item, it is access to that set item.

That would be about 75% of sets as collectibles, and ZOS would at that stage be at a far greater liberty to adjust sets without blow back.

    Disagree.
After 5 years of playing I have 100s of those pleges keys, plus more than 400 slots are occupied by pledge iems only...
I haven't said that you skip pledge dangeons/trials.... I mean that those pieces (I mentioned) can be obtained only from particular dangeon or trial... and it can be account bound, so you will still farming... At the same time you would not have overloaded inventory (because it would be in form of resource) and having access to any item you need, plus crafting system would be much more valuable.

    Well, duh!
They have to give people somethiung to farm for with every new region after all!

The annoying part is... they keep adding stuff, yet don't expand bank space.

AND it would help -greatly- if they named All the sets with a [Set name][Item designation] schemata, so the pieces would be in one spot in your inventory (like... "War Maidens Ice Staff") instead of some with a [Item designation][Set name] pattern ("Lightning Staff of Baharas Curse") that scatters the set pieces all over the place...

An increase of sets should come with an increase of bank space, if we're discussing QoL changes.

Where the hell are we supposed to fit this stuff?

Can not agree strongly enough. Especially with your second point. The worst offenders are things like "Ibelgast's Promise" which is just an Ebon ring.

I also gave them an idea about attuned weapon and armor racks. Pretty much once you place an set item on them only that item set can be put there. can hold up to 15 pieces of that set. I think that might make things easier especially when it comes to sorting things. I would make one of my houses into an armory and just go through toss sets there

With well over 400 sets available players only use a handful at endgame. When was the last time you saw a build that used Skooma Smuggler or Immortal Warrior.

Maybe it's time for a set purge. Just get rid of the garbage sets and replace them with ones that are similar but actually useful.

And I say this as someone who uses a lot of odd sets. I have characters with Fjords, Shacklebreaker, Night Terror, and a few other specialty sets but there are still hundreds and hundreds that I doubt anyone wears.

I'm sure ZOS could run a quick query of all sets worn by CP 810 characters and find at least 200 that could be eliminated with zero impact to the game.

I don't have an issue with new sets being added. I just would like to see some kind of refurbishing on some of the older sets. Some of them don't make much sense if you take a look to what's been released until now.

If you want more diversity around you need to provide options to accomplish that.
