Thief build

Since my stamblade has become useless in PVP, I would like to turn it into a thief build for farming. What sets could I use? I was thinking Vesture of Darloc Brae + Night's silence? Any advice?

You're not a vampire huh... That should work decently. You'll like the darloc brae, it's freaking awesome. Btw tried it on my Stam blade in PvP, very good set darloc brae.

I might go back to being a vamp. Only reason I cured myself was pvp and those fat Dawnbreakers, but now that I've temporarily retired my nightblade from pvp I might get bitten again. If I were to e a vamp, what should I use instead of Night's Silence?

I currently have 3 Night Terror, 5 Night Mother's Gaze EMBRACE (thanks Muzzik for the correction) and 4 Night's Silence. It works pretty well.

I'm working on replacing the Night's Silence with 4 Darloc Brae to see what happens.

Night mothers embrace with Khajit smallest detect radius possible of course 7 medium takes that one step further. You'll steal everything right in front of them no problem. I run swift on mine it sure is fun

For this event, I made a set of night silence with Swift jewelry and picked up the steed mundus. It’s very fast.

What is this darloc set? I’m using VO as a place holder

Darloc brae is new medium set that came with Elsweyr. Guild stores have plenty decently priced. It's a sustain set that gives resources per second while crouched.

Seems like a l2p issue to me. You failed to improvise, adapt, and overcome, and now you've become a role player. Before you know it you'll be in the Riften inn soliciting some hot, steamy ERP from an Argonian maid.

Stealth radius used to be hard capped so Bosmer and Khajiit would get max benefit from one reduction set. But when they redid the racials, the cap shrunk down to zero. So, you could run two 5 PC sets, but you wouldn't be as stealthy as wearing three radius reduction sets

I mean you can, I'm fine with my stealth even though I'm not khajit, but three sets would still be more effective than two. Why do you want to use two five piece sets?

When my Bosmer stamblade thief turned into a Khajit named Grumpy Ex Wood Elf, I also made him into a vampire.

He's now wearing 3 Night Terror, 4 Darloc Brae, and 5 Night Mother's Embrace. His jewelry Swift. He still has all the usual challenges with torches/flare traps, etc., but he can zoom around ordinary NPCs as if he were permanently invisible.

Of course, he kills stuff a bit slowly when does get into fights, but that's not a big deal.

I guess the Steed Mundus would be thematic too, but I haven't gone that far.

3 night terror = 2m, 4 darloc brae= 2m, 5 night mother embrace= 2m, for a total of 6m (not counting the medium armor and racial passives)

2 5 piece sets = 2 + 2 = 4m. IF the bonuses stack.

5 Night's Silence (craftable) will give you faster movement in stealth, which is very good if you aren't a Vampire. 5 Shadow Dancer's Raiment (L) will do the same.

5 Night Mother's Embrace (M), 3 Night Terror (M), and 4 Darloc Brae (M) give you 2m bonus to hiding each.

The other consideration would be the other bonuses that you get from each set. NME is probably the least bad: bonus to max stam and stam recovery, and a double bonus to weapon damage along with the stealth bonus. Along with the stealth bonus 4 Darloc Brae is goofy, just bonuses to magic (!?!) and stam recovery; while 3 NT is just a bonus to max stam. You can also run 5 NS with 5 NME and still have room for a weapon set or a monster helm + shoulder set.

Night Terror 3 piece with whatever gold weapons you have works nice. 5 piece for other set you want Nights Silence for the sneak if you're not vamp.

I also used Darloc Brae, but only because according to rumors on reddit it granted +3 firor when scamming in broad daylight.

Night's Silence is one of the craftable sets providing special bonuses to armor and weapons. It is available for crafting to players pursuing blacksmithing, clothing and/or woodworking professions. Special crafting sites with stations dedicated to creation of this set are located in the first zone of each of the three Alliances.

To make an item for this set, a crafter must first complete research on two traits for this particular item at a corresponding crafting station.
Bonuses
2 items: Adds 12-1096 Maximum Stamina
3 items: Adds 1-129 Stamina Recovery
4 items: Adds 9-833 Weapon Critical
5 items: Ignore the Movement Speed penalty of Sneak.

This is what's possible with this setup. Only this is a Necro who doesn't get the 25% sneak speed bonus for slotting Concealed Weapon like my Nightblades do. Notice that I have a bounty in the first picture.

Nah, they've known about this from the early stages of the pre-Elsweyr PTS. Making the stealth reduction the fourth piece of the five piece Darloc Brae set was a calculated move, along with removing Stealth from Bosmer and making it exclusive to Khajiit.

They know, and their "Break down resistances and make Khajiit a more desirable race to play" plan is proceeding according to schedule.
