As it's AoE damage is reduced by 37% I'm thinking about switching morph to unstable wall of elements, since the explosion on the end gets buffed by 96%.
Could this actually be a damage increase, yes it will have a 4 second shorter duration and a smaller area of effect but it will do more damage over all.
I don't know, but on paper it sound good.
I feel people have been sleeping on the duration changes in the patch notes. A lot of rotations will possibly change, especially dynamic to more static ones (e.g. Winter's Revenge and Elemental Blockade finally line up). Not to mention that longer duration means less casts means better sustain (as AoE skills are generally more expensive, especially with the next patch), and more time spent on the front bar.
Far as I can tell, Unstable Wall lines best up with Magplar and pet sorc rotations. Whether it'll outparse EB remains to be tested.

Also with most builds using Wall on the back bar with a vMA staff, it is worth noting that Blockade allows you to be on your front bar longer, increasing uptime on the 4 and 5 piece bonuses there.

To me it looks like everybody is more likely to stop before a boss fight and slot their single target dots. Then swap back to aoe dots for trash. Only blockade and endless hail will remain due to the vMA weapon buffs.
I feel for console players with these changes, no add ons to do that with a single button press.
