Patch Note Changes.... Lets get it right

From the looks of the current patch notes, PvP will be getting a meta change. Which I'm cool with, it's in need of one. PvE on the other hand is getting slapped with fat*** nerf. ZoS needs to handle this before they get ahead of themselves. The AoE reductions, Healing reductions, it's too much. A lot of us solo the content and this is a big "F-You" to all the solo players. Going off the numbers, it looks like they're just increasing the time it takes to get through the difficult content. Rather than adding more difficult content, you are taking away our power. PvE content will become more difficult, but not because the dungeon/trial/arena has changed, but because we will become weaker.
Personally, I don't think we are OP. It requires mastery of your rotation, mechanic dodging, and overall knowledge of the area to do your maximum DPS. Now we have to utilize everything we learned, for an additional 10-20 minutes per duingeon/trial/arena. Yeah I made those numbers up but it's probably gonna be somewhere around that, and that is terrible.
Read over your notes, because we all have, and we hate it. The gear is whatever, these skill changes though. I'm thoroughly upset.

Skill changes suck big time. This is what they apparently spent months thinking about? On how to handle powercreep?

Major disappointment. Might as well bring back vet ranks and cap them at VR10.
Gulp down a detection pot, find a sneaky little cloaking Nightblade, murder them in cold blood. One of the finest pleasures of life.

Well said, OP. I agree with everything you said.

You don't make content more challenging by just "lol nerfing player damage" and having the player use an extra skill or two to kill mobs and bosses, but by actually putting some effort to add more complex mechanics to the game, but some people around here seems to fail to understand this very basic concept...

Pve needs a nerf because of the power creep. Adding harder and harder content with new sets enforced this.

It why most old dungeons/ trials are stupidly easy now and even noobs can spam there way to 30k-35k dps. 40k dps used to be absolute top tier at one point. Now that is around 100k in end game trials.

Major disappointment. Might as well bring back vet ranks and cap them at VR10.

You handle power-creep painlessly by reducing DPS by 1%/month.

    They could have done that.

They chose to make it hurt.

The power creep is their fault, they decided to make the newly introduced sets more powerful every month to 'force' us to adopt the new stuff and discard the old.

What? How is that even a tactic lmao.

They chose to deal with it. Adapt to it.

Content will still be able to be done.

Even if they slowly nerfed things every month (not how zos does things) people would still cry.

So... Who will use Werewolf Pack Leader in solo PvE next patch ? Now that pets will be untargetable... ? I mean the whole point to chose this morph is now gone is it ? Not to mention DMG nerfs this morphs got... There is simply no reason some one would pick this morph, other than RP that is....

ZOS said that it will be utility morph now... but WOW... I myself could not possibly come with a more unreliable way to provide utility... Ffs they should simply add a taunt to this morph heavy attacks. That could work, and at lest would be worthy DMG sacrifices this morphs gets... But oh man... they really dont want any one to use this lol...

People adapt more easily to a ramping level change, a stairstep stubs a lot of toes and causes people to suddenly fail when the step is bigger than they can adapt to easily.

Change doesn't have to be sudden and jarring.

It could just as easily have been gradual, giving people time to modify without feeling like they'd been probed dry.

And then, 2 months from now, we'll be getting more powerful equipment, again.

It's harder for newer players to adapt than seasoned ones. This is one reason why there is a power creep. Take away high damage proc sets that stack, lower/increase damage of skills, lower/increase cost of those skills and there will still be high damage players, and low damage ones. 2 players who differ skill wise in the same gear and cp allocation will have different outcomes. The better players will be fine, the struggling ones will struggle on. That is going to be frustrating for everyone.
