Upgraded my internet speed this am

Deleted my eso and reran the installer. This is fast- 85MBps.

Eso will be done in less than 10 minutes at this pace.

In the time it took me to write this i am over 20% finished.

Gigabit ethernet is awesome.

I bet this connection would see little to no server hiccups.

And with new cat 6 cables, i dont have to worry about my cables fritzing out.

I just wonder why it d/l so much faster under linux than windows. Any thoughts on that?



now over 35% done.. i may have to install the pts a few times to put it through its paces... like racing it on a desolate street to see what's under the hood now.

Most likely different network stack optimizations in your NIC drivers.

Lag will still happen -- it's often a server response/Akamai issue. All the last-mile bandwidth in the world won't help when the long-haul link is congested or the server on the other end isn't keeping up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Congrats on the new connection, I have gig internet myself and it's amazing (except the data cap). I just wish it would fix the performance issues of the game...hey, at least we can conclude issues are not as likely to be network-side on our ends huh?

Windows is downloading updates in the background.

What is your service provider? Where do you live? Is this office or home? Did you mean mbps or gbps? Your OP said 85 gbps.

I have 300Mbps, and it downloads patches @ between 2.5 and 4Mbps.

Ping to texas is around 18, ping in game is generally 95 to 120.

I'm on fiber and cat 6.
