"Skill Lines for Alternate Characters
Fully completing a skill line on one character now unlocks the ability to purchase that achievement and skill line on other characters. Once unlocked on your current character, the chosen skill line immediately advances to its maximum rank. All abilities contained within the purchased skill line arrive unranked, allowing you to advance and morph the skill as you see fit.
Please note you must log into each character on your account to register your achievements.
Once you have logged into each character, other characters will be able to purchase eligible Skill Line upgrades.
This new Crown Store offering is located under “Upgrades -> Skill Lines” in the Crown Store.
Currently, the following skill lines are planned to be available with Update 23:
Alliance War (Assault and Support)
Dark Brotherhood
Thieves Guild
Fighters Guild
Legerdemain
Mages Guild
Undaunted
Note: The Psijic Order, Soul Magic, Vampire and Werewolf skill lines will become available in a future update."

People will cry P2W, but this requires you to do the questlines on at minimum of one character. People who want to grind are free to still do so, this is simply a time saver for those who would like to get it on other characters.

    Is this real?

If so.....FRRAKING AMAZING!!! I hate doing pvp in this game just for the horn and whatnot. I don't mind the other lines but I will gladly fork over crowns from my sub to unlock that line.

Its actually disgusting and im surprised anyone would be happy about this.

Ya its a needed change, but because zos is so god damn greedy its on the crown store. Personally i dont like getting walked on. If they put these things in the game now, for gold or an achievement or something, I would praise it. But in the crown store? No.

And what makes it so much more disgusting is the fact that console still does not have lorebooks and skyshards built into the map of the base game. Meaning that its a thousand times harder for us to grind those things than it is for PC players.. So of course more console players will be enticed to buy these things without having access to the same tools as PC players do.

And psijic also, but thats nowhere near as big of a deal. But mages guild and skyshards are. Its mind blowing how they just dont care and put these things out anyway. * In the end it will make my life easier. I dont mind paying for them, but I wont thank them for walking on their players. Maybe when console has lorebooks and skyshards, but its still grimey to put it on the crown store. It would just be less grimey.

This is BS. What's next? So if my main toon has Gryphon Heart (ha, I wish), I can buy it for my pvp alt?

ZOS is giving in way too much to the whiners. Sigh.

Not p2w at all. Hyperbolic is hyperbolic. It still requires you to unlock them on some sort of character. Convenience is awesome. Also people still have the option not to pay money for it. P2W = can only get it from the crown store. Like if there was sword I could buy that did obscene amount of damage and was only purchasable through the crown store. That is pay to win.

Pay to win dosnt mean it cant be aquired without paying sorry. You pay and get more power. Thats pay 2 win

Good. As someone who keeps several alts (each alliance and each class --- not each class in each alliance though but at least all in one!), this is a huge time-saver.

Especially going forward if they introduce more classes, etc.. If ya don't want to use it, don't. It won't change your personal gameplay if you skip it because you don't want it lol.

You don’t get more power because you can still get the same skills in game. Weak argument is weak. Now if they only offered say the psijic skill line exclusively in the crown store THAT is pay to win. But that’s not the case. Anyhow enjoy your hyperbole. I’m glad ZOS is monetizing on such a simple convenience. I’ve alresdy lvled 18 max toons 14 have most of those skill lines already. I’m glad I won’t have to lvl the last 4.

Why are people mad about this. It doesn’t give your opponent an advantage over you and if you want to take the time to grind lore books on all your accounts you are still free to do so. For people who don’t want to there will be a option for you as well. If you don’t like it don’t buy it plain and simple.

It’s P2W and it’s stupidity to claim otherwise

Even by your shortsighted “must not be available in the game” standards, it’s P2W. There is absolutely no system in the game that allows someone to share questline progress across characters instantaneously.

If you could buy progress using ingame gold or achievement points (as it should be), then it wouldn’t be, but it isn’t, so it’s purely P2W

Actualy yes. We both start an alt. You pay so you have all guild maxed and start working toward bether gear while I keep farming guild lvl.

But the main problem is that rather then changing the mecanic so its fun to do they sell a skip ticket. So expect every future skill line to be tedious and boring so they can sell you a skip pass for your alts.

no it’s stupidity on your part because your arguement is based on a misosophical premise. Yes the progression is instantaneous (barring you have completed already and have the mullah to spend), but it doesn’t prevent you from obtaining the same skill albeit at slower pace. Still not pay to win.

The difference is whether you consider being able to pay to win already P2W, or only having to pay to win P2W.

This clearly falls into the first category. Still, curious what the price will be. 5k per skill line?
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

You get the miss conception that p2w mean the only way to get something is to pay.

Actualy not a single game is like that.

You must mean p2w only rather that p2w. Stop giving words different meaning.

No, it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to achieve the same system of advancement without paying. Progress sharing is EXCLUSIVE to real money purchases. Even by your erroneous and too-narrow-to-be-useful definition, it’s a P2W system

Lol. I can’t get that dress from the crown store, I’m certain the colors of the embroidery somehow could give me an advantage through visual aesthetic. That’s what you sound like right now. Ridiculous. Most of those skill lines are easy to get, like I said I’ve done most of them 14 times. It’s definitely pay but it not to win, because you still can get the same skill lines albeit at a slower rate, but it doesn’t make you disadvantaged in any way other than the immediacy. Again you’re wrong plain and simple.

I think you don't know the true meaning of pay to win. Pay to win, in the essence, is literally throwing money at the game to give you a leverage over any other player that did not pay like you did.

    Examples of P2W model:
    1. All arena weapons (vMA, vDSA, BRP) are ONLY avaiable through crown store and nowhere else.
    2. A potion avaiable ONLY through crown store, that restores all your stats (double than normal tripot), gives you major/minor heroism, protection, resolve, ward, berserker and force.

Those examples are, by the definition, pay to win.

What ZOS is offering now is not pay to win. It still follows the business model ESO been following: Pay to convienience. If you want to complain about unfairness, honestly, look at craftbag. That *** is much more worse than paying crowns to level your fighters guild, it gives a stupid amount of advantage over people who don't subscribe since they lose way less time worrying about inventory management.

And let's be honest, the only people who are "buying" these, will be mostly to level up Psijic, and they will use the left-over crowns from ESO+. I doubt anyone will actually purchase crowns for this.
