Weapon styles in crown crates

So having a crown crate motif (Pyandonean) is off-limits, but having 4 weapon styles (Baandari Pedlar) is ok?

I just hope they're a precursor to a modified version of a motif that will release in Pellitine, and not a precursor for more crown crate only styles.

I think the line is drawn between outfit styles and motif pages. ZOS realized this fact. A lot of players got upset that motifs were locked in pay boxes. However, they simply changed the wording around a bit, swapped out some code and made them style pages which are more widely accepted in loot boxes.

As far as the look of a character is concerned, it's basically the same thing. The difference comes in mechanics. Motif pages have a mechanical use in that they can lead to higher master writ drop rates (though that can be shut off on crown exclusives) and can be used in master writ items (which again can be turned off on crown exclusives).

I suspect that ZOS caught the backlash from the Pyandonean motif pages and instead of scrapping styles in crates, they just changed the wording a bit and it's suddenly a bit more acceptable.
