WoW is nearly always a top 8 game, currently with 71.4K. ESO lately has more often than not been below Final Fantasy and BDO. The only reason ESO is so high currently is 10K watching ESO Live stream.

If WoW dumped the mandatory monthly sub I'd jump on board with it. Actually, same with FF.

Twitch is an odd metric because it doesn’t necessarily translate to player numbers. Whilst there is, of course, a general correlation, we know to the highest degree we can that WoW does not have 7 times the player count of ESO. It has had longer with higher numbers to build a streamer presence, pushes Twitch more for marketing and has a more engaged player base outside of the game itself.

I still watch and sub to some league streams despite not having installed or played the game in 2+ years. some people are cool.
