Can it possibly be so simple? Someone pays to have a Guild Store, lists 30 items IN TOTAL, just to try to skew a few prices? Can they possibly profit? o.O0 -

Behavior like that is called "harshing" and/or "griefing". Some sado-masochist lets his/her sexual fetish influence their attitudes toward, and their interactions with, other players with the intent of inflicting psychological pain -- i.e., grief, despair, futility, anger, and other "negative" feelings.
