I can be between keeps in pvp with no enemy players for miles or buttfuck nowhere in overland pve with no trash mobs to be seen but still be stuck in combat. Like really? I may have fought someone or something 30 years ago but still seem to be in combat because I'm fighting their soul or some ***.

lol Great post. Love the humor.
This problem does suck, and has sucked for a long time now. I believe the solution though is to just fix the bug (or whatever it is) to where players can actually leave combat in a timely fashion. If they were to allow ability swaps during combat it would cause all kinds of problems and birth abominations in the form of addons that players would be expected to download and use to maximize their parses.

I see your point of that being an issue and honestly it sounds dope. Unfortunate for me is that I play on xbox and wont be able to capitalize on that would-be beautiful addon.

Well some people like that sort of thing. A lot of people actually. So I'm sure you'd have plenty of company. I'm one of those old fashioned players who don't like addons that give distinct advantages over others who don't use them.
