But the skeleton poly transforms you specifically to a human skeleton. Hence the no tail bit.

Yes but since back then they updated the Skeleton models in general would be nice to update the polymorph as well.

The polymorph is morphing you into one of the undead Kothringi from the quest, similar to the Xivkyn polymorphs.
Xivkin is not the same with a skeleton. Lol
There are 3 type with both male and female look. And variable voices
Mael one is not counted
There is a skeleton polymorph that keeps your race in mind, iirc. I think it is the one obtained via DB. It has some sort of armor as well.
Edit: the link below shows what I am talking about. The SS on that page show even the head is different between non beast and both beast races.

Got to say thanks for the information there, it’s the one achievement I’ve not got round to doing so I think I will now seen as my Argonian necromancer is called “stands-in-bones”
DreadDaedroth wrote: »I think it'd be better to adjust pirate skeleton, It's cool the ''helm'' depends on your race but once the effect procs you're a human skeleton

Then I stand corrected. But either way the skeleton polymorph isn't changing your character into a skeletal form of their race, it's changing it to a different race completely (Kothringi).

But the polymorph is called "skeleton" the description says:" this guide cause the user to take on the appearance of a living skeleton"
If it would say "kothringi skeleton" I would be fine with it but I think it is just lazy nowadays to make it look like a human skeleton just because they didn't have race specific skeletons back then...
If you would pay Attention to the quest where you get that poly from it would be clear that this poly doesnt care your Race.... Cause it comes with its own.
