Can Scavenging Demise be proc'd by Plague Slinger?

Hi folks,
I'm wondering if anyone knows if the 5th bonus of the Scavenging Demise armor set can be proc'd by the poison balls activated by the 5th bonus of the Plague Slinger armor set or only from other poison sources such as a poison weapon enchantment or say applied Ravage health poison or Poison Injection and Lethal Arrow?

I haven’t tried that combination specifically, but a few months ago they made a general rule that proc sets cannot trigger other proc sets.
