PS4 weaving rotation

PooPsie337
If any one could post a video of them doing a solid rotation on any character it would be helpful. I am having trouble remembering to LA before using some skills and sometimes LA doesn't fire off. In fact if some one would be awesome enough to post a vid of their rotation and one of their controller while perform said rotation it would be very much appreciated

The LA is a timing thing and only practice can help. Lag is so bad at the moment on PS4 that most of my buttons don't seem to respond.
    Australian on PS4 NA server.
    Everyone's entitled to an opinion.

I always recommend Novaris for rotation help, because he does actually show himself physically performing it with the controller. Skip to 14:50 for the rotation demonstration.

Thanks for asking this question, I’ve wanted to see something like this for a long time. And thanks for posting the video!

Yeah the timing of light attack/ability is kind of like a heartbeat, followed by a half second pause. If you're just spamming buttons as fast as you can, more often than not, your light attacks won't go off at all. It's a very methodical timing.

I am no expert and am always seeking to improve my LA weaving and my DPS parses.

However I thought I would share a tip that definitely increased my own LA weaving and had a noticable impact on increasing my DPS.

*Think of every LA and skill as a single unit, not two separate actions*.

So you are not thinking about how to time each individual LA and skill throughout a rotation. Instead think of it as every single time you wish to use a skill (depending on rotation), you do so along with a LA.

It may sound simple, but this slight shift in thinking and approach helped me. The timing involved just seemed to click for me.

Go oldschool, buy a metronome and pratice your timing using it ;)
Or use the one google provides...

    Well if it can help:

After a little time and practice you won't forget LA anymore, they just become "part" of the skill u are casting. Just give yourself some time to allow it become something automatic.

As for skipped LA there can be 2 things to consider:

    1) On "rare" instances ESO experience an "unusually strong LAG" that prevents anything you pressed from working (or turning a LA becoming an HA)

    2) every skill you cast (but channeled) can be "animation cancelled" a split second later but the exact time is not the same for every skill. If you try to weave with "Crushing Shock" you will need to "go slower" or miss the LA at all. You'll need which skills needs more time with practice on that skillline/class

Don't forget that there's a global cooldown, I used to miss skills and attacks when I first started dpsing because I was going too fast.

Like the other poster said, it's a lot closer to a 'heartbeat'. Some controllers have slight variances too, like maybe yours is well worn and say your R2 button on your PS4 controller needs a more full depress than a newer PS4 controller that may just need a slight depress. Just something else to consider.
