A question about murkmire

I still haven't took the time to do murkmire and I am about to change it, but, before I start, I need to decide if I do it on my main (with nearly all others content done) or one of my reroll wich would, back-story-wise, be more suited for the quest, being someone dreaming to learn more about Argonians.

Is there any content related to others areas in Murkmire ? Characters that we already know ? "Consequences" of precedent decisions ?

The zone is pretty small (both in size and in main quest length) so running it with an alt first that is more related to the region won't take too much time and effort and you can always redo it with your main later.

Thank you, but that's not the point.
I just don't accept to miss anything because of a content I hadn't made yet. Would it be on my main or a reroll. The thing is that I would much prefer visiting murkmire for the first time with this add, but not if it oblige me to derogate to my "law".
    Else my question :
Is there any content related to others areas in Murkmire ?

Even if there is, your new character will not have met anyone yet even if you as a person may know them.
So they won't relate to your new character.

It's been a while since i did the quests there but i don't recall any major cross pollination between other zone story arcs.
Everything should be pretty self contained on a new character. Just ignore the prophet since he can be quite pushy on a new character.

The only content in Murkmire that I recall as relating to other areas is a tiny side quest where you run into a very minor NPC you worked briefly with in Vivec City in MW. She mentions that you helped her in Vivec City. Her Murkmire quest is a very small, short side quest of no significance and I would see no downside to not having already completed MW.

Overall, I think Murkmire is quite 'stand alone'. I also enjoyed Murkmire quite a bit - hope you do as well. :)

There are some of the "usual suspects" showing up now and then... Stibbons and... that gal who he works for noone really bothers to remember the name of anyhow. A certain pirate captain you may have run into before. A married couple from Vivec City on vacation. Not all that many tho.

Mostly, the DLC is standalone... so it matters not at all when in the story you do it, as its a story completely seperate from the "planemeld" plot, the "daedric conspiracy" plot or the beginning "elsweyr" plot... so, no connections for that regard.

The only connection it has is to the "prequel" questline, really. Cyrodillic collections needs your aid and all that. To prepare... for exactly the thing you go for in Murkmire, really. That's the only thing that you really ought to have taken care of first, for immersion sake.

Its not that much story to play, do it on both, start with whichever seems more sense-making to you! ;)

Murkmire is a pretty self-contained story arc as far as I can remember. There's no major characters you can encounter from other zones. Of which I can remember, there is a small side-quest in which a Dunmer couple on vacation in Murkmire will remember you if you've completed the Vaardenfell questline, but nothing majorly story-changing.

You don't know who you're talking with. I can restart an all game while preparing to enter the room of the final boss just because I've suddenly remembered that I've forget to say hello to some PNJ in the first level that give you an information about the lore that I already know but that my character supposedly ignore and need to learn...
And I am not afraid of doing it multiple times.
I am kind of... perfectionist. :s

But, anyway, thank you everyone for your answers. I think I got the information I needed.

I suggest the alt. I did it on a brand new Argonian character and I'm glad I did as it's one of the better zone for unique dialogue when doing it on a racialy appropriate character (enough so that I'm really curious to do it on another character now just to see how they handle some of the scenarios if I'm not Argonian). I also don't recall any dialog where I felt like I was missing backgroud. Except possibly the Dunmer couple.
