Or did i screw up and still have to gift something for at least 590 crowns to someone else still instead of just 500 worth. The instructions don't mention if you can break up the gift into several for each person.0 -

If you already gift 410c to person A and another 90c to person A, which means you're already gift 500c to person A. Then, you have to gift another 500c to another person.
You can gift anyone as long as the total is 1000c to minimal 2 different account of the same server. A 910c furnishing to person A and another 10c furnishing to person B is still counted tho1 -

@SideQuestPubs here from the PC/NA version of the game, and I haven't done a whole lot with the housing options (I don't play much when anyone else is home because interruptions), so "what I need" is wide open.
But based on current furniture options and my hoarding tendencies, I'd have to say I want storage, storage, and more storage.
Or, since the gift reward is based on the value of what you've sent, whatever you're willing to spend works... the Music Box (edit: any available music box, see note at the bottom of this post) or Trees of Tamriel Garden Pack come to mind. Or whatever inexpensive item seems appropriate for the housing editor to get you towards that 1,000 crown requirement. (Pity the ESO Plus exclusives can't be gifted, never mind that they're free and therefore wouldn't count towards the gift exchange anyway; oh, well, I'll need to sign up for a membership sooner or later if I want to start collecting those items.)
On the flip side, because I haven't done anything with housing options I don't have any giftable furniture, so anything I send out I will have to buy direct from the crown store for the purpose of the gift exchange. Naturally this limits my gifting options, both in terms of what merchandise is even available and in terms of what I can afford.
Scratch that, I just acquired the "free room" and also discovered I have the Grand Psijic Villa courtesy of the Summerset Event. So I can go into the housing editor and... try to figure out what I'm doing. But it also means I should be able to gift things that don't require massive bundles in the crown store.

Thank you for the storage chest, uh.... I'm sorry I forgot your in-game name other than it starts with a "T". (Notifications don't seem to save this information once the gift is claimed, bleh, but I could've sworn I'd made a note of the name before I went on here to comment.)
I'd also remind any future gifters that the currently available music box in the normal Crown Store is Blood and Glory, but according to the Crown Store showcase they'll be releasing a "Dance Among the Flowers" one later this month. So, you know, a reminder to anyone who likes the music boxes....
