Make Me Automatically Sit on a Horse!

Yeah, it can be cute the first 20 times to seem myself (or others) running on their horse, but it gets quite annoying after that point. I then either have to stop moving on my horse so I can properly sit first or I have to keep going while still running on the horse. Please recognize this state and automatically fix it instead of making me stop in my travels!

You can also jump while riding to fix it.

It is merely a graphical bug that has no real impact on the game. I would suggest Zos totally ignore the issue since it has no real impact on the game. No offense to the good judgement of the OP here.

It annoys the heck out of me, so it has a huge impact. These are the kinds of things that many completely ignore, but that really irk others. Stupid that it happens at all. Fix that code and the problem never happens.

I was not aware of that. I will try that next time this happens.

It happens when I accidentally hit the sprint button before the mounting animation is done. Just make sure you don’t do that and it shouldn’t be a problem for you at least.

Seems like it would be an easy fix in the code to temporarily disable sprint in some way to keep this from happening for everyone.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. It keeps your toon's nose away when your horse farted.

that would be the worst fix!!
the negativ impact would be much higher, because it slows me down if I want to be fast

TEMPORARILY disable sprint, until the mounting animation is finished, then re-enable it

I almost always sit on the horse. The treadmill horse seems related to server glitch from lag or something. Jumping usually fixes it.

I get the sidesaddle horse more often which I fix by bar swapping.

Jumping does fix it, but it slows you down and requires time to get back to speed. Better than stopping completely, but only somewhat.

All they need to do is check to see if you are on a horse before starting the running animation. My bet is that it does not check for that because "it could never happen".
