Is it considered spamming?

People often post those small paragraphs about their guild is recruiting and today, someone was saying that it was considered spamming in Zone chat. Is it though? If a person post a single paragraph recruiting (Not posting twice or any duplicates)

no, not spamming, thats how they recrute.
as long as only post it only posted like every 5 or 10 minutes.
same thing with sales or "want to buy" messages.
just spread them out so they not too often, just randomly every 5 minutes or 10 minutes is not spamming.

although it is annoying.

Before the days of Guild Finder, how else would you recruit? Whispering someone randomly or randomly inviting them to join a guild is even more invasive.

Now that we do have Guild Finder, it is still a good way to let people know if you have a niche guild, something which you can't search for in Guild Finder. Such an a NSFW ERP guild. I swear I saw a zone advert for that. Looked legit and not just some idiot troll.
