Stamplar DW + 2H - Built but need help with skills.... Heck why not the whole thing.

So for background, I'm a tank - everyday and twice on Sundays, with at least two for every class both flavor and meta. I would like to lean into other roles, if for nothing more than perspective. I've currently re-purposed my Tankplar to Stamplar and am happy to say I can reach a solid 10K DPS!!! Wtf!!! I need to be able to do more. Obviously. Now I've linked my build from UESP and have cheated a little with the CP as I only have ~540. The questions is, is the build solid, do I have the right idea, or have I got it all wrong and should stop all together?

Stamina Templar Build - UESP

My choices / stipulations:

I think I will be losing DPS by not using a bow (for flavor I prefer DW + 2H)
Do I have the skills right - I have all the buffs (that I think can help me to be self sufficient) - Major Evasion, Resolve, Ward, Savagery, Brutality, and Minor Force
Because I have given myself Brutality and Savagery through skills, instead if the normal Blessed Thistle, Dragonthorn, Wormwood - I have gone with Columbine, Dragonthorn, Mountain Flower.
For food I plan on running Arteum Takeaway, but I'm still fishing for it. So, I use Dubious instead.

My Rotation, being a newb, was to buff up (as needed throughout) then:
LA > Biting Jabs > LA > Rending Slashes x 4 (with LA's)

Execute:
LA > Brawler > LA > Executioner x 3 (with LA's)

How are the skill choices? Is the rotation OK (albeit basic), what would you change? What kind of DPS would you expect at a glance with the current setup? How much would your changes improve the numbers - assuming I can execute your rotation? Also have a look at the CP and the gear (with a focus on gear that can be purchased or crafted).
Any input at all would be valuable and greatly appreciated, please be wordy as I'm still learning.

You will lose a good deal of dps without a bow, endless hail and poison injection do a lot and help keep your back bar enchant for close to 100% uptime.

You shouldn't use Rending Slashes as a spammable anymore, it was updated recently so the DOT portion of damage doesn't tick till 2 sec, if you spam it, you reset the dot earlier than it ticks since it takes about 1 second to weave. The initial direct damage of rending slashes is much weaker than dedicated spammables like biting jabs.

If you're adamant about using a 2h on back bar than your build and skills look alright. Using pots with Brutality will help increase dps since you won't waste a GCD on momentum. Frees up a spot for Executioner. I don't really know if you would actually get better dps out of using a backbar execute since you lose the 11% WPD from Dawnbreaker and Rearming Trap and your DW stats/enchants/poison from front bar. At least the WPD from 2h carries over for the 5s even if you can't keep it up 100% of the time. You're better off using Whirling Blades as your execute.

Relequen would be really helpful for you if you can weave since it straight up adds 5k+ dps and minor slayer which your missing. Good for boss fights, not trash, but you've missing endless hail anyway which is substancial for aoe dmg, so I'd take Relequen over Hundings or Briarheart really.

I'd aim for 30k dps and then you can really do any content without worrying about score pushing. 10k is very low, healers do that much and more. It may come down to your weaving and rotation. Don't cast PoTL too early.

Consider using daggers instead of axes in front-bar, axes are pvp weps and higher crit chance is very important for pve dd.
I would also replace quick cloak with blazing spears. Yes, it is magicka ability, but it can proc burning light so much that it can be dps-gain also for stamplar. Would also move it to back-bar for smoother rotation and maybe move vigor or rune frontbar.

Here is rotation I have in mind for this setup: trap -weapon swap- caltrops - carve - blazing spear - wep swap- power of the light - rending slash - weave jabs until its time to refresh dots. Enjoy!

I would use rending slash, jabs, rearming trap, deadly cloak, and repentence on your DW bar, and reverse slice, carve, rune, caltrops, and jabs again on your 2hand bar.

Basically you want to keep all your dots up on your targets while also swapping to the 2hand bar every 5 seconds to proc weapon damage enchant. Having jabs on both bars will allow you to fill holes in your rotation easier but it's not absolutely necessary. Flawless dawnbreaker front bar and empowering sweep backbar for your ultimate.

mebe this version will be beter https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=158372. Deadly strike set on stamlar is rly powerfull ( on of best set actualy and is easy to get and its not expensive when you no need weapons) bc most of your DPS are Dots and your main spamable is bitting jabs. From my experince 2h execute dont suit staplar well, bc its replace spaming biting jabs and biting jabs procing burning ligt, on my staplar stadart frontbar otation is biting-la-potl-la-rending-la-rearming trap-la 2x biting +la - potl-bar swap for bow. I think wehy ou master bar swaping to get carve uptime at 100% you can get rly nice nubers. But on other side in lots of situation ( specila in DLC dung or trials) you will lost huge amout of DPS in situation when you cannot stay at mele. Try recosider bow for backbar, bc its huge huge advantage in DPS terms. I rly like dw/2h idea, it was 1st decent staplar build wehn veteran ranks was reality and i rly like it but ....

2nd thing use shadow mundus only if you are at 100% sure you will get 18200 penetration, if tank dont using alkoshs or crusher enchant on backar staff, Lover is always choice to go. And its good set penetration in CP to have axectly or few point over 18200 pene. I have 2 CP on my teplar one for shadow (for tank with lakosh) and one for lover (for tank without alkosh).

ang 3rd circle of protection on frontbar is only for FG pasive to boost your DPS, well and sometimes its helpfull for group to.

Does jabs have in increased chance of proccing an axe bleed compared to other melee skills? It seems like rapid strikes cause relatively high axe bleed uptime with just one axe on the dual wield bar. Otherwise I like the 2H axe idea since heavy weapon bleed can be pretty big as it carries over while on the dual wield bar.

jabs does not proc bleed from axes, only the weapon skills flurry, twin slashes and whirlwind proc the bleed, with light and heavy attacks. flying daggers, deadly cloak and the ulti, lacerate do not.

On the 2h side, uppercut, crit charge, cleave and reverse slash all proc the bleed, obviously momentum doesn't. The ulti, Berserker strike does proc the ax bleed as well.

Thank you for all of the input. Much appreciated, I've decided to stick closer to what I know and will not be going full DPS. I have decided, with this character to use skill lines that I already have open (because most if my skill points are in crafting) So when fighting trash my setup will be Bow/Bow. The skills give me a lot of control over trash and sustain is good. Not sure if I should go heavy and use Armor of the Veiled Hearitance on body and sacrifice some damage for tankiness? Have a look and tell me what you think. Thanks again 🙂
