Hybrid Sorcerer build ideas

After playing my sorc for so long I’m wanting to try and play something different. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with hybrids or crazy sorcerer builds for open world PvP.

I have played around alot with different types of hybrid sorcerers. None so far that outperforms or matched the StamSorc though.

What i am currently looking at trying out is;

3 x Infused Potion Cooldown with Clever Alchemist
Penetration Mundus
Infused Backbar Wep Dmg.

All above should bring up both Spell and Wep Dmg. enough i hope, to be able to make a viable hybrid. The idea would be a classic StamSorc, but with using Curse and possibly Endless Fury to get the same burst to the Dizzy as say a Warden gets from the bugs.

IMO, any truly viable hybrid build needs to stay away from Pelinals. It is a wasted set. Instead, try to get only dualsources (both wep+spell dmg). Problem is, there are very few 5pcs. Sets that give both damage stats. For mundus, you can go Penetration. And the Wep Dmg. Enchant also provides both. But from there on, it gets difficult to stack damage. Another way is through procsets, but that's not really hybrid - going procsets always ends up being a stamsorc, i find...

Sharpened /nirnhorned weps.

For noCP: nord, thunderbug, syvarra, skoria, double snb, all dots up, streak spam. You should aim to be able to do 3 streaks in a row. For IC replace syv with bahra. Freaking tank, has good damage, unlimited mobility, very good sustain. I can share the details later if you interested.

This definitely seems interesting to me, how does it work?

I m considering trying out a Thunderbug/Storm Knight/Grothdar build on my magsorc. The thought of being a walking AOE storm is appealing. And being able to transmute the healthy jewelry to arcane helps.

Should be pretty strong especially in large scale if you stand in a healing negate.

Along those lines but more single target i played around with way of the fire/plague doctor, red mountain, skoria, infused fire weapon and had a lot of fun. More of a Stam-base thing with boosted proc damage. Tough to play because of resource issues.

So:

Nord, 14 M, 10 H, 40 S
Warrior Stone
Dbl SnB
Thunderbug, Syvarra / Bahra, Skoria - Bahra is better when there are stupid mobs around like in IC

Streak, Pierce Armor, Vigor, Crit Surge, Aegis, DoS
Shielded Assault, Razor Caltrops, Dark Deal, Hurricane, Aegis, Reviving Barrier

+ Artaeum Takeaway Broth, 3 stat pots

You get stupid mobility form the 1st skills on both bars. There is no need for Forward Momentum, you should have enough resources to break free, and streak away. Streak has good damage because of Thunderbug and mana, has stun, keeps your alive and your opponent annoyed. Most fun skill in the game imho. There is no real spammable but you don't need one, dots and procs do their thing. If you get luck you land in Chaosball in daily random. Just pick up the ball, spam Dark Deal and Vigor, and hold block.

Even if there are more effective builds available, that's what I find most fun to play for a while. And I suggest to run Werewolf. It helps if you get bored. Just put on Bahra, go to IC, pop WW and feast. You get the money for Arateum in no time.

It's not much of a hybrid build. But I am probably going to build this this week.

Thinking front bar with streak, crystal blast (instead of frags for the AOE spammable aspect and the stun), shattering prison, endless fury, Curse. With a lightning staff and Eye of the Storm ult.
