It would give an extra dimension to PvP etc and ball groups would have to adapt and not kill each other with 6x Eye of Flame etc the same would go for siege, you would have to be extra careful not to kill your teammates

Just a fun little thought

So to clarify, you want to give people on your own faction the ability to intentionally kill you with no recourse?

I'm going to have to say no.

Oh! The horror and grief some would cause!! Lol.
BUT, the idea is really fun!

"Long ago, in a galaxy far away.....i.e. ESO pre-One Tamriel....

2 guildies and I went to Cyrodiil on different faction toons and went Dungeon Diving together, and it was a BLAST!
I gave up saying "I'm Sorry" after 5 minutes. Lmao!
No big AOE's..... Bow shots had to be focused, Sword swings planned, no rezzing or healing each other, etc..
It REALLY honed our attack/defend skills!
But the best was running into someone randomly and them seeing a EP, DC and AD fighting together and them go "wtf??"

Friendly Fire is a really fun idea! Huzzah!

We should make the game as hard as Dark Soul, add hardcore mode which will delete character upon death and survival mode which require you eat, drink and sleep.

10/10 dumbest post I've ever seen. With how toxic pvp is in this game do you know how many people would just bomb their own alliance?

You can always make a cross faction group in Cyrodiil.

It's a lot of fun actually, we used to do that on a semi regular basis many moons ago, get a group of 10-20 players from all 3 factions and do dungeon/skyshard runs.

Always confused the heck out of other players we ran into ...

Unfortunately I think this would cause even more performance issues. Since many AOEs that you cast are not seen by your fellow players, they'd have to make all AOEs visible to all players. I can only imagine the performance issues this would add.

ESO doesn't have the "precision" needed in combat for having friendly fire.
