The person that killed you probably dropped major brutality or another buff. Testing in a bg is the dumbest thing you can do, test with a friend instead where you can actually control other variables.

Those look reasonable numbers for your resistances.
    Dont see the issue.
Also dont forget crits, pen etc.

I guess they have no reason to not give Argonians poison resistance back then. That way I don't have the game telling me we have more poison resistance than all the races yet I have none.

that crit resistance value only halves the crit damage afaik.

for your second question; previous poster could be right. dropped buffs could be the answers.

A hard-hitting skill with a cast time and a direct damage execute are hitting you for 3k damage. 3 ticks of a DoT execute hit you for a combined 2k. You had 7 instances of incoming damage and they hit for a combined 15k. Resistances seem to be working good. That would kill most players 3x over but it only did 68% of your max health on a low health build.

Overcapped resists is a trash setup if it's the primary focus. Really low weapon/spell damage, max stat, and crit is a useless build concept unless you're a full tank that can hold block and sustain. Only then are the damage modifiers so low that you can shrug off damage. Otherwise, you might as well run around naked because you're as good as dead anyway unless you have a pocket healer (but you're still useless).

Burst damage has always been insane in ESO and you need burst healing to counter this. Resists are only a means to give you an extra second or two to press a button that's strong enough to counter the incoming damage. Health Recovery is strong against sustained damage like dots, but even it's typically not enough on its own when stacked high and faced with high burst. Also, note that with the removal of health recovery % passives, from certain races, this has affected Heavy Armor builds dramatically.

With 7260 effective weapon damage (weapon damage + max stamina/ 10.5) dizzying swing deals 10300 damage.

If your opponent has a maul and debuffed you with major fracture, you would have 25600 armor or about 39% mitigation.

Applying battle spirit and your mitigation would yield 3160 damage.

A crit against your crit resistance would deal 23% extra damage, bringing your damage taken to 3880.

So that seems about right. Resistances don't make you invincible. You must use other mitigation sources.

Depends on a lot of things. Their buffs, your debuffs. Their gear, your gear.

As an extreme example, let's say you're a vampire wearing Mark of the Pariah, you had major fracture/breach on you early on in the fight. Your enemy didn't re-apply fracture/breach, and his major sorcery/brutality ran out, and none of his few last hits did crit.

It depends on such a lot of things.

Without impreg, you cannot get more than 1700cr. This is non-cp, remember.

7 inpen will get you 1806(-26%) at gold, 2064(-30%) if you have a shield. a healer can give you 1304(-19%) with transmutation. Impregnatable gives 2000(-29%). 1650(-24%) from cp. I am not stating anything by these numbers. Just getting the raw numbers out there.

though i will take this time to plug an idea that i floated a while ago, put crit resists on the lady mundus.

Right now, 2752 resist is not that appealing to most people. Putting ~1600 crit resistance* would make it a viable mundas, at least for PvP.

*I got that number based around the statement of ZOSs balance of mundai and 5 piece bonuses, that being a 5 piece is 2.31* a set piece and a mundus value is 1.85 a set bonus, so using impregnable armor, 2000/2.31= ~865 and 865*1.85= ~1601, this would put a divines piece at ~120, almost half an impen piece but you also get the regular resistance as well. Seems like a good trade off. with full divines, you would get 2441(-35%) crit resists and 4196 (6% damage mitigation) resists.

Though, that number, 1601 crits resist, without divines, might be too high, as that would be 23% crit resist. Though, again, since the base resists of the lady are only 3.89% damage reduction, that might be all right

You could have 100k resistances, it only mitigates 50%, the cap. Forget pen, for get crits forget all the damage the guy did to you.

My question is this: what do you expect to do to anybody with 25k max Magicka, 1700 spell and weapon damage and 10k max Stam. Hide ya stats. Poor @ZOS_GinaBruno probably laughing herself into a stomach cramp reading this stuff.

Since Executioner is listed last, is that showing the total damage it Would have done, or just the remaining balance that was needed to finish the kill?

I wouldn't bother stacking resistance for PvP if I were you. I've tried that before and found it unimpressive to put it mildly.
