Versatile Stam Class/Race for easy dps/tank swapping...?

I'd like to level a single stamina class that would allow for some relatively easy swapping between dps and tanking, and is relatively easy to learn/forgiving. Unfortunately my play time is limited and I don't have the time to level many alts. My main is currently a Templar healer and I'm (mostly) enjoying dungeon runs and loving Cyrodiil.

1) Eventually I'd like to run as a tank in PvE and maybe some sort of defile/debuff tank in PvP. I peels for healz.
2) I'm a complete noob with Stam and my two hander skills are currently garbage. I may need to rely more on class skills until I get better.
3) I've been thinking about the racial resource passives of the Orc, Imperial, and Redguard and it seems like what triggers those are single class/weapon abilities as opposed to Stamplar jabs or DK dots. Is that worth considering in a versatile race?

Orc is probably the best race for optimizing dps while still making an effective tank. Nord should make a very effective tank while not doing as well as a dps. I’d say both imperial and redguard are in betweens that might not be perfectly optimized for either but are very good at both.

I have an imperial necromancer that swaps between dps and tank as well as a redguard warden that does the same. DK should also be effective, and I think you could do it on the remaining classes but can’t speak to doing so from personal experience. I recommend going with one of the three classes I mentioned, but don’t want to discourage you from using your Templar or any other class you’re keen to play.

Stam Warden or Stam DK is probably your best DPS/Tank. The Warden has a great variety of stamina class skills and those lend themselves well to tanking, plus its very strong in PVP thanks to its burst damage. Stam DK has the DK skills that are excellent for tanking, along with access to stam weapons like the bow.

I have not played Stam Necro yet, so I can't speak from experience, there.

Thank you. I've been watching so much YouTube trying to get an idea it's actually been detrimental over helping to make a decision lol.

Any thoughts on a race that better compliments both DPS and tanking?

StamDk is pretty good at swapping from tank to dps or even PvE to PvP.

PS: I must note that stamDK gets the worst deal out of any when it comes to class skills, you'll mostly rely on weapon skills so keep that in mind. The meta for this class is mainly heavy armor+Sword and board for PvP, so you won''t have to use complicated 2h abilities like brawler or uppercut.

Roll a DK or warden. DKs are a little better tanks but wardens are a little better dps and in pvp. Wardens also can make bow dps work a little easier.

Stick with imperial or orc for your race to go between them.
