PSA - How to Fix the “Slow Bug”

If anyone else gets stuck in the “slow bug” where your character slows down to a crawl completely out of nowhere, all you have to do to temporarily fix it is hold heavy attack. You may also need to drain your stamina to zero but I think that was an unnecessary step.
Regardless, if you are going at a snails pace even on your fully leveled mount with rapids, just hold heavy attack. The game will catch you up right back to normal speed.

✭✭✭✭Happened a few times in Elsweyr, had to log out to fix.
I was doing that as well before last night. Since I was in Cyrodiil, as I’m sure you can understand, logging out isn’t really a good option since the queue gets a bit silly in prime time. Anyway, I believe I had the bug happen to me 7 times in 8 hours last night (it was a long run in PVP yesterday) but the last 6 were fixed in seconds simply by holding heavy attack on my resto staff. I didn’t even need a target.
I had fixed it a few times the past week but I was under the mistaken impression that it didn’t happen in combat. Nope, that was placebo as my traveling bar also is my resto bar and I would open a lot of fights with a heavy attack from range when I expected a large and long fight.0 -

Not just a Cyrodil bug. Has happened to me 3 or 4 times since Elsweyr. Usually happens while doing trials. Not fun when your’re downstairs in VCR doing crystals.
