Fighter's guild quests?

New to the game, I'm in glenumbra as a redguard DK. I got to the fighter's guild and for some reason they won;t give me quests to do, how do I get them? I have a thieve's guild quest is that the problem?

I'd delete this if I could. I'm an idiot, there's a steward and a guild master . . .

Did you talk to Basile Fenandre on the bottom level of the FG in Daggerfall?

The fighters guild has one story questline, that starts when you just walk into the first guild and join... one story mission per map. And then, there are "do dolmen" dailies, which come later... in your factions capital city.
