LAG Issue that started last few weeks.

Hi, not sure if this was after a patch but its a problem that started and hasn't gone away since about a few weeks ago.
I play on NA server using Steam, live in New Zealand, my latency has always been around 220 (Not great not terrible, lol)
But recently it's been 330+ at all times, jumping up to 380 at times.
Nothing changed with my internet, everything else works fine, and I tried repositioning wifi and even connecting with cable, makes no difference.

Is there something that happened with NA server after one of the patches? any advice on what I can do? it's getting annoying to play tbh.

There are a number of factors that can cause high ping or latency. We have a help article linked below that goes over a few things you can check that can help improve your in game ping.

What do I do if I have bad latency in game on PC/Mac?

Cheers, but yeah I done all that, and I didn't have any lag issues for ages till after one of the server maintenances that was done or one of the patches a few weeks ago, and since then its been lag city central with 350+ ping regardless of what am doing. In PVP it's basically unplayable now, and am not the only one with this problem, I now found many others who say the same thing happened to them.

Sorry but the problem for most people is at your servers. I have used multiple programs to do traces and it ping spikes at the server before your PC farm and then only get worse at the server farm (PC USA). Packet losses at those 2 locations. Lag at those 2 locations. I play a lot of online games. Some in other countries I get better response with. I have a 150mb down 12mb up connection and have no problem or poor performance with. I even play in the EU and Britain and get faster responses. Pings are way up and FPS is down. Mine has dropped 50% in this game. I am on a EVGA Black SC gtx 1070 ACS 3.0 8gb PCIe video card. 24gb of Black Mumba ram. 3 Samsung SSD's and a AMD 8350 at 4.4ghz thats runs at 39 degrees C at full load. 5 Corsair HP fans to help it all stay cool. So not the problem is not on my computer either.

    Factor number one: bad server.

Please pay no attention to this canned response nonsense. I've done this several times on different routers to try to fix deteriorating latency that only started earlier this year on the PC/NA servers. It resolves absolutely nothing. Ping and trace routes clearly identify the problem is with the servers. My system and Internet connection ran consistently at 90 -110 ms for 2 years. Now its running at 140 - 180 with frequent spikes into the red. Our guild ran vet Sunspire this week. Latency was about 220 - 280 ms. Everyone complained of lag. It was absurd. We finally just quit.

Please put the blame where it belongs. "Millions of new users" + new content = increased server load, which translates to slower response times. The fact that ZOS seems to further screw things up with every new update has become an eye-rolling joke with everyone I associate with in-game.

So ZOS needs to fix their server performance and stop posting nonsensical links down the rabbit hole.

They should just have a new pre-prepared answer they can spam for threads of issues like these:

"All lag problems are down to our servers and game infrastructure. Estimated time for the fix is approximately 6 months or possibly Spring 2020.

In the meantime please check out the Crown Store for more expensive pixelated things you don't need!

    Thanks!"

Still in the queue, spamming "F"...
