Linking Accounts seem useless

So, I bought an Xbox and after I installed ESO, I was prompted to link my existing PC account and Xbox account. I was thinking that maybe my ESO+ benefits would transfer, but I knew no other information would, but NOPE. Nothing at all. So, why? Why link the accounts if literally NOTHING transfers. It's even stranger that Zenimax only let's one link a single other account. I'm more confused than upset, but I would like to know the point in linking accounts.

✭✭✭✭✭Other than Steam, there is no reason to link accounts. And, even that is questionable.
Way back at Console Launch, like 4 years ago, people would designate if they wanted their PC account transferred to Console, but that ship has sailed.
So, your right, there is no reason to link accounts.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
