Recent twitch drops bad timing

The recent Twitch drop giving crates and a mount went out at a time which made it pretty difficult for those on the EU server and the UK because of the time it went out, stated every late and then was long done before I can log in in the evening after work.
Seemed a bit one sided.

Well, the planet has 24 different times at any moment. Just be glad you aren’t in Australia. Bad timing on drops and the worst ping this side of Hell.

I just left my computer on, with the offline Bethesda Twitch stream open many hours before the actual stream. And got the items.

It's almost like they were at a specifically scheduled and live event in the United States.

Welcome to the world. If you wanted the stuff do what the na ppl who worked shifts did and leave the browser open some for dinner. Problem solved. The Stream came from a LIVE event hosted in LA so they went by the time here in LA.

Yeah, well, perhaps in a world with different time zones, it would be fairer to just ask people to watch the event, for the rewards, rather than necessarily watching it live?

More people might actually watch it, then, rather than just leaving it running in another room, while they sleep, as well.

And why should they give a benefit for getting nothing? The live stream is a metric that they can show for engagement and get more money for development. YouTube hits is nothing.

The purse strings are controlled by metrics and engagement, if they can show that their game and their gamers are more engaged than other studios then they get more time and money to develop their game and keep their jobs longer.

Watching the video after it was live is not engagement, its great social proof, but its not engagement. Even having your computer online to the stream while you are not there shows a level of engagement that watching a video could never show.

Long story short they are not giving anything away, they are paying you for your time. If you want to be paid for every single advertisement that they create, well not sure what to tell you there.
