Guild Invite Bugged?

I'm new and so is the people in the guild I tried to join, so before making a bug report I thought I'd ask this.

I found a guild via this forum, messaged one of the leaders in-game and they sent me an invite like 30 minutes ago or so. I got a notification about it, clicked the fly leg for accept but it would complete. Tried hitting E but still nothing. Send a mail back about the issues and they said weird things were happening on their end too tonight. Had to log off for a little while and just logged on again and now the invitation is gone and I'm not part of any guild as far as I can tell. (I'm here assuming that it should be showing up under Guild(G) if I were.

So is this bugged? Is it a known or a new one? How is this supposed to work anyway and how do I go about joining the guild if they can't invite me as I can't find them via the guild finder?
If this is a bug I'll of course make a proper report but as I said we're all new, a little confused right now and I just wanted to check before reporting something that might not be a bug and just our experience, or a know bug already reported I just could see in Bug Forum.

Today the EU server achieved CHIM and has molten down the border between old and new bugs.
