I see people higher than lvl 810 on the internet... why?

Why ingame i see only people at max 810, and in the internet, youtube etc, i see above 1000, 2000 or even 3000cp?

Im back at the game after 4 years and i dont get what is going on with max lvl...

Max level is 810 but you don’t stop gaining cp.

The max amount of cp you can use is 810. The game lets you earn beyond that but you can’t use it for anything.

Yes. It used to be capped at earlier numbers but they kept raising the cap. So when cap was 600, if you already had 900 cp you’d just get it, no grinding required. If you have 1000 cp now and they raised cap to let’s say 900, you’d just have it.

The current issue is wether they raised it too much, if they should raise it one last time, or if they should remove the cp system all together and go with something else. like how they scrapped the old Veteran Rank system for the current cp system.

Yes, that's exactly what it does.It used to be that the cp cap got raised every 3 months or so. So, having a number of cp greater than the old cap meant you were already at the new cap when it changed.

addons let you see the amount of cp people have past the cap

CP 810 is max now, but cp levels will rise until cp 3600. Nothing over 810 counts.

They are going to revamp the system with something new in the coming years, but it’s not going to be soon (happy to eat my words) either we get a revamp on the cp system that allows us to unlock more, or a completely new thing.

Also wouldn’t surprise me they adjust the equipment gear lvls at the same time, would make sense.

So expect that as a huge base game update, which in the past drops at Q1 of a year normally.

Ehm, you do know that earning xp doesn't stop when you're at cap. Right? I'm somewhere above 1k by just playing the game.

I only group with, acknowledge, and befriend players who have 1000+ CP.

Yes in fact at launch after u capped before the cp system your xp was accrued and u got that xp given back to you as levels when the champion system launched.
