Can I just kill a monster to get the rewards like on console? I do not want a twitch account, extra internet accounts just get hacked...

Unfortunately I think the whole point is to promote Twitch. Or rather, ESO on Twitch.

And that would be fine, except console players get it by just killing a monster. Is that fair? No, and that's why I'm calling them out on it.

Oh well, you don't get the promotions they offer through it then.

Who cares? I have no use for twitch. Then again, I'm not upset about "missing rewards" either.

That’s because console players aren’t eligible for Twitch drops, and in the past they gotten completely shafted on prizes because of it. PC players who take part in Twitch promotions get rewards in game throughout the month, every month. Console players don’t get anything, despite many of them being part of the Twitch community.

You are asking to be rewarded for opting out of a promotion, that’s not reasonable and it not going to happen.

That’s your choice. Which means you’re choosing to not be eligible for the rewards.

This is no different than companies that have giveaways to Facebook followers, or product freebies through Twitter or their website, or write-in contests, or radio "listen in at whatever-o-clock for your chance to win...", or what have you. If you don’t “do the thing” you don’t get the rewards.

For anyone who chooses not to watch streams, that's your choice. Part of that choice means choosing to be ineligible for prizes offered through that platform. Again, your choice. Zeni has no obligation to offer prizes to you through another means, to reward you for refusing to participate in their promotion.

Want a way to get around it? Move to console so you can kill something for the drop.

You can disagree with me, and that's fine. You can't tell me what to do however.

If nobody says anything how will they know that people have an issue with it?

Then unlink it again after the stream. I'm pretty sure that linking it for a whopping 2 hours isn't going to endanger your ESO account.

By not being idiots. They know some people will complain. They know that no matter what they do, someone will complain. But they also realize that this is a relatively fair setup compared to the past situations where console players got nothing.

Even creating a twitch account is more than I want to do. What is their privacy policy? Will twitch get hacked again? I don't trust any online account to keep good security anymore, and anything I don't need to have an account for I don't.

It's something everyone should be looking at.

Don't use the same password for the 2?

    Use a disposable email address?

    Unlink it after the event?

    Or, complain on the forums.

If you're smart, you'll have a completely different login and password for your twitch account than your ESO account.

That way if Twitch does indeed get hacked, they dont get your ESO account infomation by default.
There is nothing on the twitch account profile that says its linked to an ESO account (at least not that Ive been able to find).
Its done through your ESO account.

Just make different passwords, I personally use a different password for every single account on games/sites/emails. You can even have passwords randomized by Google or other services if you cannot think of a unique and strong one yourself.

I love how many people are being Captain Snarksalot and saying 'Well then you don't get the rewards' like a bunch of five year olds jamming cake into their faces because they were gullible and do any and every stupid thing required of them for a shiny thing.

They'll do anything for a shiny thing, and if you wouldn't do anything, you don't deserve shiny things, you inferior magpie you.

As a console player that's finally being included for Twitch rewards, this post infuriates me. You obviously understand that the promotion is a Twitch promotion, and you also obviously understand that console players are not capable of using Twitch like PC players, which is the ONLY reason they're allowed to unlock the rewards in a different way. It was kind of them to even allow console players to get the rewards in the first place.

Playing on the PC comes with plenty of advantages, such as access to mods and PTS, early launches and quicker patches, etc. Now you're complaining because console players finally get one singular, minuscule advantage over PC players?

Even creating a twitch account is more than I want to do. (<<-Pointless dribble)

What is their privacy policy? ( https://www.twitch.tv/p/legal/terms-of-service/ not hard to go there and read it yourself )

Will twitch get hacked again? ( any and all websites have a threat to get hacked at any given moment. Could get a VPN for more security)

I don't trust any online account to keep good security anymore, and anything I don't need to have an account for I don't. (Why you on a game forum? They get targeted a lot as well, uh-oh... might want to burn your PC nao! dem haxxors just got your keys! Oh NOSES!)

It's something everyone should be looking at. ( It's good practice to be aware of possible dangers everywhere, it bad practice to actively treat everything as a danger solely out to just get you.)

Twitch offer two step verification, so there is another layer of security then a simple password and userID.

That is something that Zenimax should also start to make use for both forum account on this site and ESO account to increase security on both. Back side is that one need to remember to follow guidelines on how to change mobile device before one would install app on another device as it make use authentication from an app on mobile device to confirm user.
