Please fix the lag in Cyrodiil

Cyrodiil is unplayable during prime time. You can't have an action combat system and then have latency this high. The worst thing is you get irregular spikes of skills not working. Your health bar is spiky in this game and that's actually a fun thing. What you can't have is a spiky health bar and irregular lag spikes. Watching your health bar go down while you are spamming your resto ult (that is ready) and it's not going off. Wouldn't even need the resto ulti if previous heal spells went off. They didn't of course.
Other thing that is bothering me is loading screens in this game. I get it, you need to load into zones. They take a while, but at least it's not during combat. What's absolutely not fun is you get loading screens mid keep fights. Keep turned? Loading screen. Time to just get up and grab a drink. You know you're dead already. Got ressed after dying? Nice, can maybe mess around in an empty keep. Poke at a few enemies. They chase you. New loading screen? New loading screen.
The internet is full of games that are all trying to compete for your time. Play this game. Play that game. Watch this show. Watch that video. Read this. Read that. Why should I keep playing Elder Scrolls Online? I really like the combat system and pvp in this game. I guess I could sit in siege and spam light attack (that doesn't go off but it doesn't matter if there's 50 of your faction). For a while that might be fun, but at some point you want to do something more interesting. At that point you need the skills to work. They don't. That is very off-putting.
That is why I have cancelled my membership and if you feel the same so should you. A lot of you won't. Maybe some will. I bet this thread will have no impact at all. Zenimax, you should know that players are leaving because of this. Here you can improve if you wish to do so. This game has great potential. I hope you capitalize on it. I hope you listen. Good luck.

The reality is, I don’t believe they are capable of fixing the lag.

I guess ESO will keep losing players then.

The reality is, I don’t believe they are capable of fixing the lag.

Same issue for 5 years. If they could fix it they would have already but I think that they would basically have to start over to make this happen which is not going to happen for many reasons. Regardless of the complaints people will continue to slog through the lag and FPS drops because they WANT the game to be good even if it isn’t. Personally this is the only reason why I’m not currently subbed. I tend to hop on, get hooked for a few weeks, get annoyed again, and then quit for months at a time. If it weren’t for the massive amount of time committed to this game and the desire for Cyrodiil to actually be stable enough to play I probably wouldn’t even be picking it back up every couple of months.

To me it just looks like a resource allocation issue or failure to hire more competent people. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong here. I bet they make enough revenue out of this game to invest in fixing these issues. I'm not saying that they can just throw money at it and stuff magically solves itself. I just think they need more smart people thinking about these things. If they could improve the optimization and server lag they could make so much more money by keeping these players interested in the game. Like what is it about certain abilities creating delay in a crowded pvp area?

According to some, lag doesnt exsist in cyrodiil?

100% agree. The lag in Cyrodil is a complete utter joke. It#s literally unplayable during peak hours. Heck even when not on peak hours, I still get client side lag.

I've googled the issue like crazy, trying every-single supposed fix under the sun, and nothing ever works. I have a good PC and internet, so cant be on my side.

I remember Zenimax was saying they were going to be upgrading the servers. What the hell happened to that?

If Zenimax doesn't attempt to do anything in regards to the lag, I will cancel my subscription. It's ridiculous now.

I wonder if we have been playing the same game as those some have.

This is the sad part. People really want to play this game. People want to like it. It's just hard to do so if it doesn't work.

I was joking about the rose tinted glass wearing eso fans in the forums.... Lag is beyond a joke

Once wow classic is out, it’s gg ESO for me. The lag and the “ in combat “bug in cyrodiil is disgusting.
