E3 EU TIMESLOT FAIL

I would like to know if the person or committee planning E3 time slots fully applied their mind to the scheduling of said?

1 - When you have an international client base you schedule events on a SATURDAY.

2 - If you have multiple servers used by Europe at GMT+2 you are at least cognisent of the fact that its perhaps not ideal to expect them to watch your live broadcast at 2:30am

3 - You also do NOT prescribe to the Twitch followers to log in at that time or not receive the reward offered.

It's probably the most insensitive scheduling I have ever seen, but having said that, I and many players in my guild will happily set our alarms to get up literally during the Witching hour to watch the broadcast but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD please could you put a post it on the event planners screen to remember that an entire server would really prefer a little consideration when it comes to us supporting Bethesda and ZOS.

Or did I miss something here?

To be fair, there are E3 events on Saturday. They started yesterday and continue through Tuesday. With such a huge conference like this, there are a lot of moving parts and a lot of people to cater to. All of the companies with press conferences have international followings. Bethesda likely had little to no say in their time slot, and because it's on the west coast all of the times are going to fit in with a PST schedule.

That being said, I would agree the requirements for Twitch drops are insensitive to followers in other time zones. It's not reasonable to expect players to watch the conference at 2:30 in the morning. Console players get a range of time they're able to sign it to the game- maybe a day long Bethesda stream on Twitch that you just have to watch 10 minutes of to get the drops? Something more flexible than a small span that ends up being unreasonable for players in other time zones.

I don't think your expectations are realistic. It's not E3's responsibility to factor in any promotions their attendees might have into how they organize the schedule.

None of the viewing bonuses offered are uniquely exclusive to this stream event, and there won't be any TES6 news, either.

So you can sleep as usual and review the event at your convenience.

Bah, you're complaining about having to stay awake until 2:30 AM on a weekend?

How do you think I feel, knowing that I have to go to work even on weekends with an uncertainty of when I'm working next week? I'm practically sitting here wondering if I should get my dad to turn the stream on, assuming he'll be awake at that time.

Sorry to to say but are you even trying to think for second?

Sunday, June 9, at 8:30PM EDT for us it means it will be 2:30 AM on MONDAY
and just so you know 3h 30 min after it starts I have to go to work...

That's why I wrote "several" and not "all".

A German community manager said on a twitch stream that they will maybe add those same rewards to a Gamescom Stream in August. Gamescom is in Cologne, stream will be at EU times. I wish they would just confirm that so people here can stop crying about the time of the E3 stream and can start whining about how Gamescom is during their summer holiday trip and they won't be able to watch it then, either. :#

Well... for me it is 2:30 Monday also... And I have to be at work at Monday...

So far I think I will set up my alarm clock, go to bed early, than wake up at 2:30 and watch the stream (I hope it will be 1 hour long only. 2 hours means It will end at 4:30 at night).

Then If I will have any hours left, I will try to go to sleep again. I think I dont have much choice at this point if I want those Crown Crates Crown Gems.

Btw. How long do we have to watch this stream to get a reward ? Do we have to watch it all ?

    Edit: Linked EU Holidays Calendar.

I am from Germany and my whole country has a holiday. What are you talking about? That calendar seems way off. Guildmates from Austria and Switzerland also have Monday off because of that holiday.

Still, more important: German community manager Kai Schober wrote that they will try to give those same twitch rewards for the Gamescom Tavern Stream in August. They did that last year.
That stream will be during EU times because it is from Cologne, a German city, and people can now start to cry how inconvenient a stream on a nice August day will be because they have other stuff to do then

@Ravereth what's more shocking is that apparently I have missed the birth of two new countries since last time I checked.
Also, that calendar is ridiculous, Monday is a national holiday here in the country where I work, that's not listed there, and my home country's most important national holiday (1st August) isn't even mentioned on that page.

Good thing that they try to add those rewards to the Gamescom Stream again, though. I watched that last year, it was a stream from their tavern event and it was amazing, they even had Malukah perform there and that was simply amazing and worth the watch.

Dude, don't be worried, there is always the time to learn about EU countries. You can always catch up.
And you talking about Whit Monday, right? Info from that "ridiculous" calendar.
And this calendar is not outdated. Check it again, or even twice, if you need to.

@Ravereth i am talking about Whit Monday, yes. That is a national holiday in the country where I work right now (The Netherlands) and it is not listed. Also, it is a national holiday in other countries as well You even had a user answer to you that his whole nation (Germany) has a holiday on Monday and it is not listed there.
The calendar also fails to list Switzerland's most important national holiday on August 1st. No one in my home country is working on that day.
But sure, it's a good calendar LOL

My country has a national holiday on Monday and there is no arguing about that, it is a fact. That makes that dumb calendar wrong, easy as that.
But could we stop talking about that dumb calendar now and come back to the topic? I am sorry for my snarky remark about several European countries having a day off, the world is not centered around me, you are all great, I love the world, praise the sun!

The stream is at 2:30 am my time, I will just leave it open on my laptop before going to sleep, that has worked just fine in the past. I know that that is too much for other people and ZOS is a mean company, because there seems to be the danger of being set to "Away" on Twitch and not receiving any drops (which I would consider a myth because I received drops regardless), and all those electrical bills skyrocketing because of a PC running overnight... So hopefully they will give out those rewards for their Gamescom Stream, as they did last year, and we will hopefully get confirmation on that soon. :)

Not blind its just that the population affected by the holiday is insignificant compared to the whole of Europe and Africa which doesn't. Lucky for you tho.
