HA DW/Bow NB - do I go vamp?

I'm playing the above, and prefer to play it aggressively like a skirmished or brawler for the most part. Pressure, pressure, pressure.

I realize I can get more dps running MA btw, but I'm enjoying this Ravager/BPT set up so far (I have another MA based NB), and very intrigued with the idea of a stage 4 vamp.

Having never played vamp or WW on a character, I'm just not clear, like intuitively understanding the up and downsides of the line, so figured I'd ask you more experienced players.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Hum, IDK. I think it depends on how aggressive you are. When I’m melee I’m aggressive/kamikaze so need all the defense I can get.

If you’re doing battlegrounds expect most of your team to be squishy sorcs who use you for cover, which makes you require extra tankiness if you’re not in a premade.

You can use ESOwiki’s build editor to see how much of a difference it makes in the mitigation tab. To figure out your real mitigation don’t add your major resolve/ward buff and add major breach, should become semi accurate for what you’ll actually mitigate.

I’ve found trial and error works best, give it a go for a week or two to make sure you’ve given it a proper shot and see what you think.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

I can appreciate the "give it a whirl and see if it sticks" advice, but honestly I'm looking for some insights on upsides or potential significant pitfalls that a more experienced pvper might already have made note of. Thanks tho, for the overall comments!

Dawnbreakers are a dealbreaker on vampirism IMO. Fire hurting more doesn't help. Really have to make good use of Mist Form IMO for it to be worthwhile.

I mean if you're a nb you will be marked. As in you can't cloak and even if you don't cloak you'll be stuck with fracture since it's been buffed.

Personally I like / love vampirism and have fun with the skills but don't think it's currently optimal in pvp where you're already vulnerable to so much.

If you use the steed mundus (+2 swift traits if you can) you can curb some of the harm of vampirism to your health recovery and incredibly buff your mist form. I think that would make it work pretty well.

Idk, think it depends moreso on your preference. For builds with Shadowy Disguise I would, or if you can’t build for enough recovery otherwise. Think stage 3 is what people aim for? I’m not sure.

Stage 2 is meh, stage 3 for the resistance when you’re low health.

If you use disguise a lot I would for the faster stealth speed.

Vamp kills your health recovery (a perk of heavy armor) and makes you vulnerable to fire and Dawn breaker. A silver leash dbos combo is your biggest enemy. Now you'll be marked atop all that.

However Mist form is good bc you have to use more bursty heals like draining shot instead of just hots, like vigor. The recovery is noticeable. The undeath passive can save you. The stalker passive for when you need to shrug off a Zerg.

@Metemsycosis - what do you mean by marked on top of all that?

So, lesser recovery but at later stages do you feel like the passives that reduce damage, reduce fire vulnerability, increase recovery back a smidge, make up for the challenges enough?

Looks like Mist form on the bar is a must as well.
