MagSorc 1 Bar - Trapper Build

I enjoy BG's quite a lot lately. So sharing a fun build I've worked on for quite a while. It's pretty effective if you play it right, so though i might share as it's quite odd and super fun.
I play a very odd 1 bar mag sorc (light armor, No pet ,and no execute, no shield) build in BG's and usually doing great. Really fits my playstyle. My usual K/D ratio in BG's, unless i'm up against premades is about 15/4 and tons of assists. I don't use the pets, they are blocking my view. Really fun build I've worked on for a long time that is very effective in many cases.

Race:
Breton. (For the cost reduction mainly)

Mundus:
Lady - If you feel a bit squishy.
Lover - If you want a bit more damage
Thief - If you want a bit more crits.

Gear
5X light - torug's. (Well fitted)
2X Medium Slimeclaw. (Well fitted)
5X Eternal Hunt. (Infused Weapon and bloodthirsty jewlery)
Infused, Inferno staff, with Shock enchant.

Food:
Orzorga's Tripe Trifle Pocket

Skills
1. Force Pulse (is pretty much my execute with bloodthirsty jewlery, as it triggers the enchant as well)
2. Dark Conversion (As my stam regen is high i can spam heal a lot and get mag back at the same time)
3. Bound Aegis (Just for the stam regen passive and some resists, i never really click this button)
4. Daedric Tomb (Main damage, utility)
5. Inner light (to catch the sneaky ***)
U. Suppression Field (For utility and some damage)

Tactics:
Drop mines everywhere. You'd be suprised how often people step on it, especially in the heat of battle where people are just focused on killing.

Offensive: Toss mines in to the crowd from a distance, and compliment with a few Force pulse. It will help your team as well, and drain their stamina when they break free.
Defensive: Roll dodge often. Drop thos eeternal hunts mines everywhere. People coming near are likely to step on them.
Being chased: Roll dodge, and drop daedric mines just in front of you. People chasing you will most likely get hit by massive damage while doing so and have to break free often.
Chasing someone: Drop mines just in front of them. They will most likely get stuck, break free and step on the other mines as well, continue drop mines in front of them and and weave in some LA's and Force Pulse.
Meeting a good group with healer: Spam mines in crowd, and Supression field, to give them a hard time healing, and getting out of the field. If in doubt, move in to the field your self and roll dodge a bit for more mines. With eternal hunt roll dodge can be used for both defence and offence.

Pros: Very effective against most opponents. As they take pretty high damage that can't be reflected. Most people walk straight on your stuff. Effective against people coming close. Dodge a lot and place mines everywhere. Being breton you can spam a lot of mines without getting out of magicka. and with high stamina regen and well fitted you can roll dodge a lot for even more mines. If out of magicka. Spam Dark Conversion. Stamina regenerates so fast you can keep spamming it. Mines do a little bit of healing as well from passive.

Very fun build, and has pretty good survivability if you like a more mobile playstyle, and don't want to rely on blocking and shields.

Why don't I use the Second bar? It's not needed, and just increases the chances to fumble... Not something you wanna do under stress in battle.

I'll record some video at some point. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Here's an image of what a typical BG match looks like. Sometimes a few more kills, sometimes a few more death, but usually around those kind of numbers if you're in a decent group, with decent opponents. It's not an OP build, and require some tactics and situation awareness, but can be very effective, and will help out the group as well, with Immobalizes.

To explain a little more the reasoning behind the build.

    Defence
Why is the main line of defense is Stamina based using roll dodge? One simple reason. If both your offence and defense is based on the same stat If you run out of your Magicka for defense you're out of magicka for offence as well and out of resources for a comeback.
High stamina regen for more defence & Less roll dodge cost. You don't need a very big pool, but fairly high regen. Chosing Eternal hunt just fit this setup nicely, to have a bit off offence as well while you're defensive. A lot of times I've managed to kill low health targets persuing me while roll dodging away.

    Offence
My Magicka Pool is around 27K and enough for fairly good damage, since a lot of the damage are not modified by max stat. (Weapon enchant, and Eternal Hunt don't benefit from high stats) A lot of times people step on more than one mine at once, for a pretty good burst triggering several mines in a second, as well as being hit by force pulse and enchant all within a very short time span.

    Why 3x Bloodthirsty?
Mainly because I'm not slotting any execute, and it's the only trait that would benefit the enchant even further, and make Eternal Hunt mine hit even harder on low health targets. Most of the time I can kill targets if they are in execute range with one well aimed Force Pulse. In non BG Enchant can hit for up to 4K, plus the combined damage of the force pulse. Even if a target is slightly above execute range, each hit of the force pulse is calculated seperately. If the first 2 hits from force pulse will take them to just below execute range. The Last hit and the Enchant will hit them hard.

    Why Daedric tomb?
I just love this skill, and it's very versatile. It triggers instantly, can be placed in chokepoints and can be cast at range. As mentioned before. Casting it just slightly in front of someone running away will stop them in their tracks or force them to change course and avoid. But mostly then don't have time to. It can also be placed near me if i see melee fighters coming. I can cast it near a team mate if he's being targeted. The cost is not really that high considering it has a chance to trigger 3 times. I see it more as casting 3 skills at once. Many targets will trigger at least 2 of them.

Other benefits: It can't be reflected. It Immobalizes, It heals you slightly from blood magic passive. Can deal massive burst if opponent is not careful where they are stepping. I just find it very versatile.

    Why Dark Conversion
The stamina morph heals for exactly the same amount as the Magicka morph. Since the stamina regen is fairly high, this one will heal and regen some magicka for offence, and keep those mines up.

    Why Bound Aegis
Passively increases your resists a bit, your max magicka, and your stamina regen from passive summoning passive. It's rarely used, unless I really need to block something. Nice passive benefit without having to spend any resources.

So on a second bar you could use wall of elements and liquid lightning for more area denial, no?

Yeah. Second bar you can put what you want. I pretty much just keep some utility skills there, so I rarely use it.

Silver leach, to drag people out of heal range, (mostly against premades) or drag them on to mines i've placed if there's an opportunity. It's really fun dragging people in to your minefield.
Speed buff - when i have to get places fast.
Volcanic Rune - To block off some ways and toss people in the air just to annoy them.

These kind of things. Bar 1, is my main bar. the other one just for utility mostly. But feel free to experiment what suits you.

I've seen one build similar to this once. Hella unique and worked more than I thought it would.

Tbf I think I could get behind it a lot more with a second bar listed - even if not really used lol

I think such out of the box fun should be praised.

    Well done sir
