EU screwed again?

For those of you that haven't seen...

Watch the #BE3 showcase and ESO presentation from the comfort of your own home, and you can earn the Clouded Senche-Leopard mount and five Ouroboros Crown Crates, simply for tuning in!
When: Sunday, June 9, at 8:30PM EDT
Where: Twitch.tv/Bethesda

To earn your rewards for PC/Mac, simply watch the stream while logged in to your linked Twitch account. Reward delivery starts the morning of June 10, and continues for several hours after that.
If you are on console, you can earn your rewards by logging into the game on Sunday, June 9, between 3:00PM EDT and 11:00PM EDT and killing a single monster. You will receive your rewards by June 19.

Now i don't know about the rest of you guys in Europe, but i feel like I'm missing out there. For me in Greece, that's 3:30am. I have a job... I can't be waiting up till 3:30am to get rewards, that all console players get for just playing.
My question is, if they're only going to offer this at one point, that leaves a good portion of the planet unable to receive the same rewards. There's got to be a better way, right? Why not let, EU server players get rewards the same way as console players...

Ye, I know it sucks for us here in EU.
You can always try to get to bed early, set your alarm clock, get up at night & watch the stream and go to bed again.
This is at least what I plan to do.

There is never going to be a happy medium for these events because it has to be hosted somewhere. I think it's a fair assumption to make that NA players make up a majority of the player base and therefore these events should be hosted in an NA time-zone. I know it's not a perfect world, but in one they'd have this event going on multiple times throughout the day so that everyone could get them. But that's not feasible from a business standpoint (evaluating costs vs rewards).

First off, I disagree with your statement. The server houses more people therefore it gets better maintenance, upgrades, etc... And secondly, we aren't talking about the server status. We are talking about twitch drops for players and how people in the EU (regardless of what server they play on) are getting screwed because of the time-frame the event is going on.

I think there would be no problem if they made such a stream between Saturday - Sunday rather than Sunday - Monday

It's based on a NA time zone because it's a stream from the biggest game industry event of the year (well, technically from Bethesda's pre-event showcase, but it's still at the biggest game industry event of the year), and that event happens in NA. It has nothing to do with whether NA or EU has more players. The only reason console players have a different way to earn the rewards is because stream drops don't work for console.

It would be nice if there were some EU industry events that ZOS would attend and stream from so that EU folks could have cool reveals and drops at a reasonable time of day for them though.

This isn't necessarily true though. It's all speculation unless ZOS releases server statistics, but that's not going to happen. They very well may have anticipated that NA capacity would be double EU and therefore deployed twice the amount of hardware than EU.

Ugh, I was planning on watching but I didn't realise how late (or early) it was going to be. I think that we should just able to claim by logging in like console players if we're on EU. I understand it's an American event, so the issue is not ZoS's fault at all, but a little consideration for their European cousins would be cool.

They should give the eu server the same rules as console.

None of the "rules" for the drops are region-specific. It's platform-specific. Console players cannot connect their account to Twitch, therefore they participate in the event in a different way than PC players. There are going to be PC NA players that cannot participate in the event because of obligations as well (not everyone works during the day and sleeps at night), so to say this is specifically a EU problem is not 100% accurate. I understand that EU players (and Asian as well) are getting the worst end of this stick, but they are not the only ones.

You’d think a multi-million dollar company who flogs its increasingly dead donkey wares around the world might have come up with an intelligent way to involve their non-US playerbase.

Just as one idea, why not re-stream it with a slightly different intro for Europe and Asia at times that were more suitable for them.

But you’d have to care about your audience to be bothered to come up with something like that.

After all, do you even now what time the event is being held at locally? Oh yeah, the time you are actually asking for if it was your time zone.

So, what are you complaining about? The event is being held at the time you suggested. So now people are complaining about what they ask for?

No one is asking that, just for a way to EU players to be able to get the rewards like the console players. And..by the way, they should be giving EU players compensation for the *** server but nope...screwed again.
