As the title says should I roll 2hand or dw stamina necro and why?

dual wield/bow has basically always been the best thing for pve stam dps. i'm not sure if the changes to 2hand skills have shifted the meta at all though

2h is now more than viable for pve, especially for characters that have their own spammable. Just replace rending with carve and you're good to go. That being said dual wield will still be superior in terms of dps by a small margin.

Why not level both. Sooner or later you will need it both.

Two handed? Pfft. You're a necromancer! You can have as many hands as you want, and you don't even have to listen to the previous owners complaints about it.

Unless you like listening to them of course.

duals and 2h have almost the same performance on necro. You can safely roll with what you like the most. Bow is a must though.

From experience, rather use a 2H sword on a necro. Dualwield has issues sustaining and longer fights. And for aoe, 2H is stronger and safer.
On single target, DW has higher dps. Not by that much. I changed to 2h. It is alot better with sustain.

First time I ran 2H in sunspire. This is 2 runs overall dmg.

Why not both ? Dual wield provides sonme decent damage, and even survivability tools with the right morphs. Not that you'll need that as a necromancer... Two handed's 5th skill grants both a buff to damage and a heal over time. You can also get a damage shield and some moderate AoE attacks that could complement the scythe.

Now if you're interested in sheer numbers and ranbking high on a dummy, go as everyone says and use bow and dual wield. If you want versatility, adaptability and fun, well, you know what I think of it

You can do both, the 2h necro is very close to the dual wield necro in PvE dps, it has already been said that the 2h is better for sustaining in longer fights and AoE and I also really like the Synergy of the death knell passive or whatever ist called and a spammable execute like executioner/reverse slice (2h also Looks better as Long as you dont use wrecking blow imo).
