Stuck in Elsweyr tutorial. Can't open door in catacombs [PS4]

I created a new character, and when I entered the first room of the catacombs I rushed off to the side to loot some containers and then got a prompt telling me to press R3 to sneak. That made the controls completely unresponsive. Couldn't move or crouch or open the menu; all I could do was move the camera.
So, I closed the game, and loaded back in. I continued looting the room, and then got a prompt telling me about attacking from stealth even though the only enemies around are spiders? Okay, whatever. I stealth attacked a spider.
Finally done with that first room, I go to the door with the quest marker over it ("Traverse the Catacombs"), and I can't interact with it. There's no "(X) Open" prompt when I walk up to it, pressing X does nothing, I can't walk or jump through it.
Do I just have to delete this character and hope for better luck next time? This is kind of amazing in the worst way.

Nah, try to open the map to main regions and find a place to port out. That or log in and out... all kinds of bugs happen. Just wait my friend, just wait...

Can't port to a wayshrine or house: "You cannot recall from this location." And I've already logged in and out at least four times.Pocketable Goods Reallocation Specialist

✭✭✭Any luck yet, I'm on ps4 and I'm stuck too. Locked up after looting while getting the prompt to stealth. I've tried resets, reloadui, change characters, and the door still won't open.

✭✭✭I ended up deleting the character, started a new one, and skipped the tutorial to bypass the catacombs. Probably didn't miss much in there anyway since it's just a tutorial, but would of been nice to see.
I'm guessing people that never did the tutorial won't be able to skip it so DON'T loot any containers when you get in that room lol.
