Is the game still worth playing?

Also since I only have Tamriel Unlimited I should be able to access all game content if I just buy the Elsweyr digial upgrade and ESO+. Or will I have to buy summerset and Morrowind separately if I want to use my old account.

And is PC or PS4 the better platform nowadays?

Summerset and Morrowind are now considered DLC content so ESO+ will give you access to them now if you did not do the pre-purchase for them. Warden is also a crown purchased content, no longer connected to Morrowind.

I never played the console versions, so my opinion is that PC is better simply for the fact you have more control over your graphic settings, you still have gamepad mode to use a controller AND custom keybind to your liking, and of course Addons.

"Yes, it is worth playing! It's the best game on the market right now."

"No! Not worth it at all. This game is broken!"

The sum total of the responses you will receive to your question lies with those two assertions and everything in between.

Oh, btw, don't spend any money until you're sure that you are enjoying it. Of course, that means you'll just have to log in and play instead of waiting for strangers on the internet to tell you what you should be doing with your free time and money...

I played for about 8 months at launch, took a few years off, and came back with Morrowind (from LOTRO most recently). I've enjoyed it.

I usually subscribe for a month with new/returning games so I can get the experience I would hypothetically have going forward, and then decide if I want to keep playing. For me, ESO's been worth it for the past couple years.

Never played on console (I've always been more PC-oriented for gaming), so can't speak to which is the better platform.

If you just want to play casually, yes. If you want some challenging content in PVE and any PVP, game network code/server/whatever is in horrendous state for this and that is more perseverance then playing.

Most definitely worth time investment. You can really feel the love in game design for most part. There's a few mistakes mind you ...cough bosmers lore, but otherwise it's very multiple dimensional gamp

Summerset and Morrowind are dlc now

Just update and start up the game. Buy an month of ESO+ if you want new content.
if you like it you can buy more and Elsweyr.

Remember its some work to set up character again
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

PC is always better in games like this. Welcome back. I always sub 6 months at a time. ZOS increased the crowns we get with subs too. Enjoy.

Is it worth playing??? Depends on who you ask. Some will say yes...some will say no. Only person who can put worth on it is you. My advice get ESO plus and test it out for a month.

I've enjoyed it myself. It's my go to game at the moment and has been for a long time now.

I play on PS4 but I prefer that to PC. I haven't played on PC since i left WoW and City of Heros ended. But PC obviously has the edge if you can get a decent rig going. With the add-ons and early releases I see why most play on PC.

If you are pvp player then don't bother returning. PvP is in horrible state.

Seems best to just get 1 month of ESO+ and see how it goes.

I have a level 50, 160 CP DK with old purple gear. Will I be able to do the newer content/PVP or no?

Game is definitely worth playing when it works, however you will enjoy the lagtastic gameplay more or less. I would have preordered Elsweyr and been very hyped about it, but since my EU account has been stuck since Wrathstone arrived and hasn't been fixed, I closed my last support ticket yesterday and quit playing. I've been playing on NA server for about 5 weeks and I gave some stuff away yesterday, I'll give remaining about one week's pvp rewards away and buy the golden weekend vendor jewelry with my remaining alliance points and donate them also whenever I bother downloading. My EU account will most likely stay stuck in character selection screen and Zenimax simply won't care or have any responsibilities other than pretending they are investigating the issue. I wouldn't recommend the game based on my experiences this year no matter how great it can be. Now I'm playing Mortal Kombat 11 and thinking about other possible games for my new main games after ESO being my favorite game for about 4 years. Once you get the log in issue, it's game over for you and no one cares about your situation.

For me someone who hated ESO on launch, I like it so much more. More freedom, do what I want when I want.

As for what version to get, what version do you have now? Why not just install that now and play around One Tamriel to see if you like it. Also get ESO+ for one month, this way you get double bank space and the Blade of Woe so you can assassinate in one shot of human like NPCs. I pretend I am knocking them out.

This way if you don't like it, you are out $15 or so bucks. Heck you don't even need ESO+ so all it's going to cost you is time, and download data if you don't have unlimited downloads.

There is so much to do just in One Tamriel you don't even need to go to Morrowind, or Summerset or even Elswyer. So try before you spend lots of money if you so chose ESO+.
Not my quote but I love this saying

"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"
