The Prison Tutorial from the base game. Still possible?

Hi,

Today I noticed my new character started out in a MW DLC area I think? I would like to start from the area that begins with the The Prison Tutorial. Is this still possible? Or has that all been removed and revamped?

Thank you

You wind up in the Wailing Prison and run through the "tutorial" as part of the first main quest.

You will meet "Hooded Figure" in the first city of your alliance you travel to - this is the beginning of Prison Tutorial.

When I created a character he ended up on a ship heading towards a new zone. It wasn't The Prison Tutorial from the base ESO game/quests.

If you have a DLC, new characters will start in the tutorial of that DLC. If you have Morrowind and no others, your character will start in the Morrowind tutorial. If you have Morrowind and Summerset or just Summerset, your character will start in the Summerset tutorial, etc.

The tutorial as part of the main quest is still available. I think it's when you go to your Alliance's capital you find a hooded figure to get that started, but you'll still have to go through the DLC tutorial first.

Jump to any base game area - and you will encounter the 'Hooded Figure' and start the main quest, which leads into the Wailing Prison (well a nerfed version of it)

Technically you can only do one Tutorial. It will always be the newest Chapter you have (sadly ZOS don't allow us to choose our starting tutorial). So that will either be the Wailing Prison tutorial (no Chapters), Firemoth Island (if you have Morrowind), the Mind Trap (if you have Summerset) or Star Haven (if you have Elsweyr).

Wailing Prison is a notable exception, because it features as the first stage of the main quest, so even if your character completed a tutorial, you will still end up there (so that your character can free the Prophet, not to train, so it's a bit different from the Tutorial you would get if you start there).

Firemoth Island in Morrowind also features a quest even if you completed a different tutorial, but that scenario will also be different from what the actual tutorial would have been. However, unlike the Wailing Prison quest, it will not give you the skill point it would give in the tutorial version. And Summerset's Mind Trap and Elsweyr's Star Haven Adeptorium are entirely unaccessible.

I think it's silly, and I wish we could choose our starter tutorial when we make a new character. Or at the very least, I wish we could start the new Chapters story lines with the tutorial, rather than just wayshrining into the zone to chat with Raz while skipping the whole Oriandra Sload mind trap storyline. We're losing out on important chunks of story, not just a skill point.
