Has ZoS abandoned Necromancer already?

Its been broken since PTS and made it to live broken and now its been ignored further despite being basically a non functioning class in MagCro form. Have you (ZoS) already abandoned your new class or do you guys plan to fix it in the future?

    Kind of, need to get gear for her and get more skillpoints and caltrops after reaching 50.
    Will wait with this until riding speed is higher.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

      I’m doing pretty well in small scale pvp with stamina necromancer as the class does well in that setting. Solo is a lot tougher since the class has limited passive healing or healing skills for stamina.

      Yea prolly not touching mine until they fix some stuff. I mostly pvp and magcro is pretty crap right now unless your doing large scale group support.

      Even pve isn't that fun to many skills either don't work or are awkward to use. They really need to make the tethers easier to hit alot of times nothing happens and the corpse is gone while blastbones plays on his cell phone during the battle.

      I'm still leveling my tank. I have a lot of fun in dungeons where I tank/heal/dps and in BGs. I'm not planning on giving up, all the spells I use work exactly how I expect them to, and I enjoy it a lot.

      You have to understand the ZOS timetable...


      It takes a minimum of 3 months to identify something isn't working

      It takes 3 months to determine if the issue is a bug or an "unintended feature" (usually depends on if it's an easy fix)
      bug = something we can fix if we can be bothered to find the time
      unintended feature= something that may be fixed but would require too many resources to be diverted from cash shop development

      Another 3 months for the first "fix" which may in fact break it further

      Another 3 months to fix the fix

      So, in answer to the question, 9-12 months.

      StamCro in pvp ia good in groups but 1v1 can struggle because of a lack of burst damage

      Megcro pve dps is worse then magden who was already the last one in line for dps. Guess its a warden buff lol.

      Blast bones getting confused with pathing and often make a smal talk with its targets before they explode. Impossible to get a burst up when Explosion is so random.

      Corpses despawning really fast and are hard to target. Corpses even despawn sometimes when you have an active tether on them ( damage skill wich only works with corpses).

      No real class CC.

      Armor buff feels weak compared to other ones like hurricane, vol armor or rune.

      Overall class feels clunky and needs much more work.

      So, instead of posting in those threads that have all the documented issues in detail, you decided it was a good idea to post a vague rant thread about the same issue with no details of anything, making it even harder for ZOS to try and track down the actual useful thread amidst the meaningless ones such as this one.

      I see tons of necros running around. Seems if the class was completely broken I wouldn't see so many.

      Necromancer was somehow free at 1st week of PTS of most of these bugs it has now at Live.

      First week the Blastbones worked properly and did hit like a truck (like the actual tooltip value), yeah there was a bug that made it crit all the time, but yeah.. was atleast working, even the pathing so it did atleast for me during testing actually hit targets like heat-seeking missile.

      Now it does nothing at all half the time, cannot get to target, goes to weird directions or gets stuck on ground, just stands there watching others do all the work like a finnish county employee.

      Also things like Goliath transformation now have bugs like after it ends cannot swap bars anymore, at all. Same bug that Pirate Skeleton occasionally does, pvp people know this one very well. It started to happen a lot for me last week. Bar swap does not come back until you either go suicide on enemies to fix it by death or logout and back again. Did spend 1 hour yesterday evening without back bar hots and buffs. Frustrating to play with necro now.

      From several bugs like that, it all becomes a frustrating experience the more competitive you play it, be it for pve or pvp.

      So much potential to be a fun and efficient class, if just is fixed ASAP.

      Elsweyr zone, all the cool new stuff is fine and well done, necromancer as a class needs some quality fix fast. Stamcro for weapon line reasons is a beast, especially at pve, but some of the bugs also affect it too, but magcro needs things fixed to function.

      I paid fiddy euro for the Elsweyr Collectors Edition, i demand quality class. Right meow. Not op class, just that things work like they should. ZOS pls? :D

      I don't think they abandoned it. I think it is just on their to-do list behind other bug fixes. That's the impression I got with the recent wave of bug fixes, anyway.

      Of course they haven't abandoned it. The blast bones glitch is probably not an easy fix so it's going to take a bit of time. I hope they look to improve the class besides fixing bugs. Targeting with siphon is annoying, when skeletal mage dies it despawns too quickly when I'm trying to siphon. There's small annoyances that when ironed out would probably help raise MagNecro's DPS.

      No disagreement there. The only disagreement is with those who imagine that the results of the month and half testing on PTS can be turned into live patches a week or two later (and before the whole thing has even been seen on console).
